PASSED. C. OFW.^ Business Arising: 1. African Church repairs -pending Council approval. Bruce will photograph repairs in progress. 2. Cleaning bee for Afi~ican Church -scheduled for June l @ 10 a.m., Bruce, Allan and Aargaret to attend. 3. Summer hours far African Church July 7 - A17an July l~l -Sheila July 21 -Bruce Jaly 28 - Btvee August 4 -Sheila August I 1 -Geoff August 18 -Allan August 25 -Geoff 4. Trillium Grant Process meeting date -April 76 @ 3:30, Township, 5. Choirs Project update -Sheila reposed that Ms. Gregory had been advised that OMHA will contact St. John Ambulvtce to attend the event, but will not pravide other requested amenities. OMHA also asked that the event not be promoted as a "service", to avoid confusion. Ms. Gregory responded that the event will be called n "Musical Celebration". 6. Heritage Day/Fall Fairs -Heritage Day is scheduled for August 18u'. Bruce informed members that there will he no plowing match this year, but there will be U'actor pulls, log-squaring demonstrations, among other things. He solicited members for additional ideas and Sheila offered to put together a historical fashion show, featuring period dress from a variety of eras. The same OMHA display can be used for fall fairs. New Business ".. 1'~'>~ Elections - .Slate of Candidates for Executive: Chair -Allan Howard, Vice-Chair -Geoffrey Booth, Secretary -Sheila Kirkland, Treasurer -Bruce Wiggins. ACCLAIMED. Guthrie Church sub-committee -Sheila updated members on the creation and mandate of the group. Members discussed rationale for Church preservation, particularly community importance, notable guests, architecture, etc. Any assistance with this information will help build a case for the preservation of the building. OMHA also to draft by-laws for the protection of heritage propettyJbuildings in Township. Geoff to consult with Simcoe County Historical Association an this matter, as well. Correspondence 1. Canada Revenue Agency letter of thanks for OMHA presentation. 2. Thank-you note from Simcoe County Historical Association for membership renewal. Next meeting is May 17, 2007 at the.
