04 11 2007 2006-ZBA-16 Public AgendaNOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING FOR PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE ZONING BY-LAW OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE 2006-ZBA-16 (ll. Shelswell) TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte will hold a Public Meeting on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers. The purpose of the public meeting is to obtain public comments on a proposed amendment to the Zoning By-law, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c. P. 13. THE PURPOSE of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is to rezone the lands described as Concession 14, West Part Lot 18 (formerly Oro Township). As a result of Consent Application 2006-B-11 approved by the Committee of Adjustment on November 16, 2006, the applicant has proposed to sever a "surplus farm dwelling as a result of farm consolidation" from the subject property. As a condition of the Consent Application, the retained lands are now required to be rezoned from the Agricultural/Rural (A/RU) Zone to the AgriculturallRural Exception 170 (A/RU* 170) Zone to prohibit the construction of a single detached dwelling. A KEY MAP illustrating the location of the subject lands is provided below. ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed Amendment. If a person or public body that files an appeal of a decision of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect of the proposed Amendment does not make oral submission at the public meeting or make written submissions to the Township before the proposed Amendment is adopted, the Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal. If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect to the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment, you must make a written request to the address below. The amendment proposed will rezone the subject lands to the Agricultural/Rural Exception 170 (A/RU~170) Zone to prohibit the construction of a single detached dwelling. The applicant was recently granted consent to sever a "surplus farm dwelling" as a result of a farm consolidation and wishes to have the retained parcel rezoned.
