04 11 2007 2007-ZBA-01 Public AgendaNOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING FOR PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE ZONING BY-LAW OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE 2007-ZBA-01 (L. Truax) 'CAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township ofOro-Medonte will hold a Public Meeting on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers. The purpose of the public meeting is to obtain public comments on a proposed amendment to the Zoning By-law, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c. P. 13. 'C'tIG PURPOSE of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is to rezone the lands described as Concession 8, Fart Lot l( (formerly Medonte Township). As a result of Consent Application 2005-B-32 to 36 approved by the Committee of Adjustment on September 14, 2006, the applicant has proposed to create five new residential lots fronting onto the north side of Moonstone Road East. As a condition of the Consent Application, the lands are now required to be rezoned from the AgriculturaVRural (A/RU) Zone to Residential One (R 1 * 171) Exception 171 Zone. A KEY MAP illustrating the location of the subject lands is provided below. ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to theproposed Amendment. If a person or public body that files an appeal of a decision of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect of the proposed Amendment does not make oral submission at the public meeting or make written submissions to the Township before the proposed Amendment is adopted, the Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal. if you wish to be notified of the decision of the 1"ownship of Oro-Medonte in respect to the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment, you must make a written request to the address below. The amendment proposed will rezone the subject lands from the Agricultural/Rural (A/RU) Zone to the Residential One (R1) to permit the residential use of the five (5) severed lots. The applicant was recently granted consent to sever the five lots (Consent Application 2005-B-32 to 36). Elementary students residing in this area may attend Moonstone Elementary School and secondary students will be bussed to Orillia Park Street Collegiate.
