OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEOONTE

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte will hold a Public
Meeting on Monday October 23, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers. The purpose of
the public meeting is to obtain public comments on a proposed amendment to the Zoning By-law, under
Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c. P. 13.
THE PURPOSE of the Zoning By-law Amendment is to re-zone a portion of the lands described as
Concession 1, Lot 12, in the Township of Oro-Medonte (formerly Oro), known municipally as 661
Penetanguishene Road. The subject land is proposed to be rezoned from the AgriculturallRural (AlRU)
Zone to the Rural Residential Two (RUR2) Zone. Consent application 2006-B-03 resulted in a small
portion of an agricultural parcel being added to an abutting rural residential parcel. As part of provisional
approval, the applicant must apply for and obtain a rezoning, which will create a consistent rural
residential zone for the newly-enlarged rural residential parcel.
A KEY MAP illustrating the location of the subject lands is provided below.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support
of or in opposition to the proposed Amendment. If a person or public body that files an appeal of a decision
of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect of the proposed Amendment does not make oral submission at
the public meeting or make written submissions to the Township before the proposed Amendment is
adopted, the Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal.
If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Township ofOro-Medonte in respect to the proposed Zoning
By-law Amendment, you must make a written request to the address below.

Thank you for circulating a copy of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment for the
above-noted property to this office. The amendment proposes to rezone the property to
the Rural Residential (RUR2) Zone to permit a residence on the site. The new lot was
created via Consent Application 2006-B-03.
Elementary students residing in this area may attend Shanty Bay Public School and
secondary students will be bussed to Eastview Secondary School.
