FOR PROPOSED AMENDMENT
TO THE ZONING BY -LAW
OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE
2006-ZBA-07
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte will hold a Public
Meeting on Monday June 26, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers. The purpose of the public
meeting is to obtain public comments on a proposed amendment to the Zoning By-law, under Section 34 of the
Planning Act, R.S.O. ]990 c. P. 13.
THE PURPOSE of the Zoning By-law Amendment is to rezone a portion of the lands described as Part of Lot
20, Concession 4 (former Township of Oro), municipally known as 184 Line 4 North. The subject land is
proposed to be rezoned from the Agricultural/Rural (A/RU) Zone to the Residential One (R I) Zone. The
applicant was granted consent to sever (lot addition) by the Committee of Adjustment on March 16th 2006
(Consent App]ication 2006-B-05). This lot addition will result in a small portion of an agricultural parcel
being added to an abutting residential parcel. As part of the provisional approval, the applicant must apply
for and obtain a rezoning, which will create a consistent residential zone for the newly enlarged residential
parcel.
A KEY MAP illustrating the location of the subject lands is provided below.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of
or in opposition to the proposed Amendment. If a person or public body that files an appeal of a decision of the
