02 27 2006 2006-ZBA-02 Public Agenda NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING FOR PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE ZONING BY -LAW OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE 2006-ZBA-02 TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte will hold a Public Meeting on Monday, February 27, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers. The purpose of the public meeting is to obtain public comments on a proposed amendment to the Zoning By-law, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c. P. 13. THE PURPOSE of the Zoning By-law Amendment is to correct the extent of the Environmental Protection zoning within Concession 11 , West Part of Lot 17 (fonner Township of Oro) to reflect up to date wetland mapping on the subject lands. This mapping, which has been provided to the Municipality by the Ministry of Natural Resources, indicates that the Environmental Protection Zone Boundary should be more properly located further to the south. A KEY MAP illustrating the location of the subject lands is provided below. ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed Amendment. If a person or public body that files an appeal of a decision of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect of the proposed Amendment does not make oral submission at the public meeting or make written submissions to the Township before the proposed Amendment are adopted, the Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal. If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Township ofOro-Medonte in respect to the proposed Zoning By- law Amendment, you must make a written request to the address below. The proposed amendment will clarify the permitted encroachments into the front, rear and side yards of residential dwellings. The subject property is being rezoned to correct the extent of the Environmental Protection zoning and to reflect up-to-date wetland mapping completed by the Ministry of Natural Resources.
