NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
FOR PROPOSED AMENDMENT
TO THE ZONING BY-LAW
OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE
2005-ZBA-30
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte will hold a Public
Meeting on Monday, January 30, 2006 at 7:10 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers. The purpose of the
public meeting is to obtain public comments on a proposed amendment to the Zoning By-law, under Section 34
of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c. P. 13.
THE PURPOSE of the Zoning By-law Amendment would be to rezone the lands described as Concession 6,
Part Lot 27 (former Township ofOro). The subject land is proposed to be rezoned from the Agricultural/Rural
(AlRU) Zone to the Shoreline Residential (SR) Zone. On September 15th 2005, the Committee of Adjustment
granted a boundary adjustment to increase the area of a residential lot (Consent application 2005-B-40). As
part of the provisional approval, the applicant must apply for and obtain a rezoning to restrict the use of the
severed lot to be used for residential purposes.
A KEY MAP illustrating the location of the subject lands is provided below.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of
or in opposition to the proposed Amendment. If a person or public body that files an appeal of a decision of the
Township of Oro-Medonte in respect of the proposed Amendment does not make oral submission at the public
meeting or make written submissions to the Township before the proposed Amendment are adopted, the Ontario
Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal.
If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Township ofOro-Medonte in respect to the proposed Zoning By-
law Amendment, you must make a written request to the address below.

Thank you for forwarding a copy of the above-noted rezoning application to this office for review.
The proposed amendment will zone the subject property from the Agricultural/Rural (A/RU) Zone
to the Shoreline Residential (SR) Zone to allow the entire lot to be used for residential purposes.
The property was the subject of a boundary adjustment application, approved by the Committee of
Adjustment on September 15, 2005 (Consent Application 2005-B-40).
Planning staff have no objections to the proposed rezoning and subdivision applications. Elementary
students residing in this area of the municipality attend Guthrie Public School and secondary
students attend Eastview Secondary School.
