FOR PROPOSED AMENDMENTS

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte will hold a Public
Meeting on Monday, January 30, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers. The purpose of the
public meeting is to obtain public comments on proposed amendments to the Zoning By-law, under Section 34 of
the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c. P. 13.
THE PURPOSE of the Zoning By-law Amendment would be to rezone the lands described as Concession I,
Part Lot 16 (fonner Township of Oro). The subject lands are proposed to be rezoned from the
Agricultural/Rural (AlRU) Zone to the Rural Residential Two (RUR2) Zone. The applicant was recently
granted consent to sever a rural residential lot which was approved by the Committee of Adjustment on June
16th, 2005 (Consent Application 2005-B-09). As part of the provisional approval, the applicant must apply
for and obtain a rezoning to restrict the use of the severed lot to be used for residential purposes.
THE PURPOSE of a secondary Zoning By-law Amendment would be to rezone a portion of the lands
described as Concession I, Part Lot 16 (former Township of Oro). The subject lands are proposed to be
rezoned from the Agricultural/Rural (AlRU) Zone to the Rural Residential Two (RUR2) Zone. On June 16th,
2005, the Committee of Adjustment granted a boundary adjustment to increase the area of a Rural Residential
lot (Consent Application 2005-B-19). As part of the provisional approval, the applicant must apply for and
obtain a rezoning to allow the entire lot to be used for residential purposes.

ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of
or in opposition to the proposed Amendments. If a person or public body that files an appeal of a decision of the
Township ofOro-Medonte in respect of the proposed Amendments does not make oral submission at the public
meeting or make written submissions to the Township before the proposed Amendments are adopted, the Ontario
Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal.
If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Township ofOro-Medonte in respect to the proposed Zoning By-
law Amendments, you must make a wl1tten request to the address below.

Please find attached an application in which the applicant is applying to amend Zoning By-law 97-95 as
amended. The subject land is currently designated Agricultural in the Official Plan and is zoned
Agricultural/Rural (AlRU) in the Township's Zoning By-law. The applicant was recently granted consent to
sever a Rural Residential lot and is now applying to rezone the lands from the AlRU zone to the Rural
Residential two (RUR2) zone. The new residential lot was approved by the Committee of Adjustment on June
16'0 2005, (Consent application 2004-B-09), and as part of the provisional approval, the applicant must apply

Thank you for forwarding a copy of the above-noted rezoning application to this office for
review. The proposed amendment will zone the subject property from the
Agricultural/Residential (A/RU) Zone to the Rural Residential Two (RUR2) Zone. The
applicant was recently granted consent to sever a rural residential lot (Consent Application
2005-B-09). Therefore, the applicant must apply for and obtain a rezoning to allow the entire
lot to be used for residential purposes,
Planning staff have no objections to the proposed rezoning application. Elementary students
residing in this area of the municipality attend W.R. Best Public School and secondary
students attend Eastview Secondary School.
