12 21 2005 Council Minutes THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, December 21, 2005 TIME: 7:00 p.m. 2003 - 2006 COUNCIL Present: Mayor J. Mayor J. Neil Craig assumed the chair and called the meeting to order, followed by a moment of contemplation. 3. Carried. 5. "DISCLOSURE OF PECUNIARY INTEREST AND THE GENERAL NATURE THEREOF - IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ACT" None declared. 6. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS: a) Minutes of Council Meeting of December 7,2005. Motion No.3 Moved by Hough, Seconded by Hughes Be it resolved that the minutes of the Council meeting held on December 7,2005 be adopted as printed and circulated. Carried. 7. DEPUTATIONS: a) June Spooner and Jackie Whiston, re: Lines 10 and 11 North and Eady Station Road. Copies of the deputation presentation, dated December 21, 2005, as well as a petition were distributed to Council. Motion No. 4 Moved by Hughes, Seconded by Buttineau Be it resolved that the correspondence dated December 21, 2005 arid the petition presented by June Spooner and Jackie Whiston, re: Lines 10 and 11 North and Eady Station Road be received and referred to the 2006 budget deliberations. Carried. The Oro-Medonte Community Choirs presented seasonal songs. The Choirs were led by Marilyn Gregory, Director; Janice MacLeod, Accompanist; and Carol Benedetti, Choir Manager. Motion No. 5 Moved by Buttineau, Seconded by Hughes Be it resolved that 1. Report No. PD 2005-066, Bruce Hoppe, Director of Building and Planning Services, re: Rezoning Application 2005-ZBA-26, Harvey and Dianne Johnstone, Part of Lot 22, Concession 9 (Ora) Township of Oro-Medonte be received and adopted. 2. And Further That the application for rezoning submitted by Harvey and Dianne Johnstone respecting Part of Lot 22, Concession 9 (Ora), Township of Oro-Medonte be scheduled for a Public Meeting pursuant to Section 34 of the Planning Act. Motion No.6 Moved by Hughes, Seconded by Hough Be it resolved that the minutes of the Committee of the Whole Meeting held on December 14, 2005 be received and that the recommendations therein be adopted. Motion No.7 Moved by Hough, Seconded by Buttineau Be it resolved that the minutes of the Committee of Adjustment meeting held on December 15, 2005 be received. Carried. 14. COMMUNICATIONS: None. 15. BY-LAWS: a) By-Law No. 2005-119 A By-law to regulate, license and control animals within the Township of Oro-Medonte and to Repeal By-law No, 2002-076 [deferred from November 16, 2005]. Motion No. 12 Moved by Crawford, Seconded by Marshall Be it resolved that a By-law to regulate, license and control animals within the Township of Oro-Medonte and to Repeal By-law No, 2002-076 be introduced and read a first and second time and numbered By-law No. 2005-119, Carried. That By-law No. 2005-119 be read a third time and finally passed, be engrossed by the Clerk, signed and sealed by the Mayor. Carried. That By-law No. 2005-144 be read a third time and finally passed, be engrossed by the Clerk, signed and sealed by the Mayor. Carried. 17. CONFIRMATION BY-LAW NO. 2005-139. Motion No. 17 Moved by Marshall, Seconded by Crawford Be it resolved that a by-law to confirm the proceedings of the Council meeting held on Wednesday, December 21 , 2005 be introduced and read a first and second time and numbered By-law No. 2005-139. Carried. That By-law No. 2005-139 be read a third time and finally passed, be engrossed by the Clerk, signed and sealed by the Mayor. Carried. 18.
