10 25 2005 2005-OPA-01 Anderson Public Agenda NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING FOR PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL PLAN OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE 200S-0PA-Ol TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte will hold a Public Meeting on Monday, October 24, 2005 at 7:10 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers. The purpose of the public meeting is to obtain public comments on a proposed amendment to the Official Plan, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c. P. 13. THE PROPOSED Official Plan Amendment would redesignate a portion of the property described as Concession 14, Part of the East-Half of Lot 9 (formerly within the Township of Oro) from the Mineral Aggregate Resource designation to the Agricultural designation. The purpose of the amendment would be to permit the severance of the portion designated Agricultural from the balance of the property, which is part of the Hillway Pit 5 operation. A KEY MAP illustrating the location of the subject lands is provided below. ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed Amendment. If a person or public body that files an appeal of a decision of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect of the proposed Amendment does not make oral submission at the public meeting or make written submissions to the Township before the proposed Amendment are adopted, the Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal. If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect to the proposed Official Plan Amendment, you must make a written request to the address below. . El/2 Lot 9, Concession 14 Township of Oro-Medonte (Oro part) County of Simcoe I am writing with regard to the above noted property which in close proximity to the Stewart Pit NO.5. I have reviewed the site plans for the licence and have met on site with Mr. Bill Fitzgerald. The owner of the property has applied for a severance. Given the existing conditions in the general area, the recommendations of Mr. Fitzgerald are reasonable. The constraints as noted in his letter would make the licensing of this resource very difficult. It is important to note that any proposed increase in housing density would have an adverse impact on the current operation of this licence. We would be opposed to any additional severances in this location.
