OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte will hold a Public
Meeting on Monday, September 19, 2005 at. 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers. The purpose of the
public meeting is to obtain public comments on a proposed amendment to the Zoning By-law, under Section 34
of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c. P. 13.
THE PURPOSE of the Zoning By-lawcAmendment would be to rezone the lands described as Lot 20 and West
Part lot 21, Plan 798, RP SIR 28134 Part 4 (formerly Oro) The subject land is currently zoned Residential Limited
Services Hold (RLS (H) in the Township's Zoning By-law 97-95 as amended. The applicant is applying to re-zone
the lands from (RLS (H) to the Shoreline Residential (SR) zone to allow for that portion of the lot for the
construction of a residential dwelling.
A KEY MAP illustrating the location of the subject lands is provided below.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of
or in opposition to the proposed Amendment. Ira person or public body that files an appeal of a decision of the
Township of Oro-Medonte in respect of the proposed Amendment does not make oral submission at the public
meeting or make written submissions to the Township before the proposed Amendment are adopted, the Ontario
Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal.
If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect to the proposed Zoning By-
law Amendment, you must make a written request to the address below.

Thank you for forwarding a copy of the above-noted rezoning application to this office for
review. The proposed amendment will zone the subject property from Residential Limited
Services Hold (RLS (H) to the Shoreline Residential (SR) zone to allow for that portion of the
lot for residential development, accompanied with the purchase of a road allowance which will
then be merged with the lot.
Planning staff have no objections to the proposed rezoning application. Elementary students
residing in this area of the municipality attend Guthrie Public School and secondary students
attend Eastview Secondary School.
