Thank you for forwarding Notice of the Public Meeting for the above-noted rezoning application to
this office for review. The proposed amendment will zone the subject property from the Future
Development Exception 67 (FD*67) Zone to the Residential Two Exception 158 (R2*I58) Zone.
The proposed rezoning is for Phase III of the Heights of Horseshoe condominium townhouses.
Planning staff have no objections to the proposed rezoning application. Elementary students
residing in this area of the municipality attend Guthrie Public School and secondary students attend
Eastview Secondary School. Please note that our previous letter had commented that W.R. Best
Public School would be the receiving school for elementary students residing in these condominium
units. This information was incorrect as the Board approved an attendance area change in January,
2004 which specifically directed students from this particular development to attend Guthrie Public
School due to accommodation pressures being experienced at W.R. Best Public School. I apologize
for any inconvenience this error may have caused.
