06 01 2005 Council Minutes THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, June 1, 2005 TIME: 7:03 p.m. 2003 - 2006 COUNCIL Present: Mayor J. Mayor J. Neil Craig assumed the chair and called the meeting to order, followed by a moment of contemplation. 3. Carried. 4. ADOPTION OF AGENDA Motion No.2 Moved by Marshall, Seconded by Crawford Be it resolved that the agenda for the Council meeting of Wednesday, June 1, 2005 be received and adopted. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS: a) Minutes of Council Meeting of May 18, 2005. Motion NO.3 Moved by Marshall, Seconded by Fountain Be it resolved that the minutes of the Council meeting held on May 18, 2005 be adopted as printed and circulated. Carried. 7. RECOGNITION OF ACHIEVEMENTS: a) Trent Elyea, Fire Chief, City of Orillia, correspondence dated May 10, 2005 re: Letter of Appreciation to Community Fire Departments, Fire on Peter Street, Orillia, April 26, 2005. Motion No.4 Moved by Crawford, Seconded by Fountain Be it resolved that the correspondence dated May 10, 2005 from Trent Elyea, Fire Chief, City of Orillia, re: Letter of Appreciation to Community Fire Departments, Fire on Peter Street, Orillia, April 26, 2005 be received. Motion No.5 Moved by Fountain, Seconded by Crawford Be it resolved that the staff recommendations with respect to the items listed under "Consent Agenda Correspondence" be adopted as printed: a) Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority, minutes of March 18, 2005 meeting. Motion No.1 0 Moved by Buttineau, Seconded by Hough Be it resolved that a By-law to Authorize the Execution of a Tax Arrears Extension Agreement (Roll # 4346-020-010-07501) be introduced and read a first and second time and numbered By-law No. 2005-057. Carried. That By-law No. 2005-057 be read a third time and finally passed, be engrossed by the Clerk, signed and sealed by the Mayor. Carried. b) By-Law No. 2005-058 A By-Law to Adopt the Estimates of all Amounts Required During the Year and for Levying the Tax Rates for the Year 2005. Motion No. 11 Moved by Hughes, Seconded by Buttineau Be it resolved that a By-Law to Adopt the Estimates of all Amounts Required During the Year and for Levying the Tax Rates for the Year 2005 be introduced and read a first and second time and numbered By-law No. 2005-058.
