NOTICE OF ADDITIONS TO AGENDA Motion No. CW-1 Moved by Crawford, Seconded by Marshall It is recommended that the following items be added to the agenda for consideration: 6. FINANCE, ADMINISTRATION AND FIRE: b) Deputy Mayor Hughes, re: Updates from County Council. c) Deputy Mayor Hughes, re: Audit. Carried. 2. ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA Motion No. CW-2 Moved by Hughes, Seconded by Buttineau It is recommended that the agenda for the Committee of the Whole meeting of Wednesday, May 25, 2005 be received and adopted, Carried. 3. DISCLOSURE OF PECUNIARY INTEREST AND THE GENERAL NATURE THEREOF: - "IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ACT" I None declared, 4. DEPUTATIONS: a) Doug Lewis, re: Stone Ridge Estates. Mr. Lewis distributed maps to the Committee. A written copy of his deputation was submitted to the Clerk. Motion No. CW-3 Moved by Marshall, Seconded by Crawford It is recommended that the information from Doug Lewis, re: Stone Ridge Estates be received and referred to staff for comment. Carried. 5. CORRESPONDENCE: a) Barrie Public Library Board, minutes of January 27, 2005 and February 24,2005 meetings. Motion No. CW-4 Moved by Buttineau, Seconded by Hough It is recommended that the minutes of the Barrie Public Library Board meetings held on January 27 and February 24, 2005 be received. Carried. Motion No. CW-5 Moved by Crawford, Seconded by Fountain It is recommended that the information from Chris Carter, Manager of Recreation and Community Services, re: Application for GranVSubsidy, Request to Waive Rental Fees, Shanty Bay Public School be received; and further that the listed organization be requested to submit the appropriate fee, Organization Facility Purpose Amount Reauested Shanty Bay Public Old Town Hall School Track $75.00 School Meet Defeated. Motion No. CW-6 Moved by Marshall, Seconded by Crawford It is recommended that the information from Chris Carter, Manager of Recreation and Community Services, re: Applications for GranVSubsidy, Requests to Waive Rental Fees from Shanty Bay Public School be received; and further that the fees for rental of Old Town Hall by Shanty Bay Public School be waived, Organization Facility Purpose Amount Reauested Shanty Bay Public Old Town Hall School Track $75.00 School Meet Carried, b) Deputy Mayor Hughes, re: Updates from County Council. Page 3 Committee of the Whole Meeting - May 25, 2005 7. PUBLIC WORKS: a) Report No. PW 2005-07, Jerry Ball, Public Works Superintendent, re: 2005 Grader Lease [deferred from April 13, 2005]. Motion No. CW-7 Moved by Buttineau, Seconded by Hughes It is recommended that 1. Report No. PW 2005-07, Jerry Ball, Public Works Superintendent, re: 2005 Grader Lease be received and adopted; 2. That the Public Works Superintendent be authorized to lease two (2) new Caterpillar 160H graders from Toromont Caterpillar for a term of five years. 3. And Further That the Public Works Superintendent advise Champion Machinery and Ontrac Equipment accordingly. Carried. b) Report No. PW 2005-06, Jerry Ball, Public Works Superintendent, re: Speed Control and Traffic Concerns - Line 15 North. Motion No. cW-S Moved by Fountain, Seconded by Marshall It is recommended that 1. Report No. PW 2005-06, Jerry Ball, Public Works Superintendent, re: Speed Control and Traffic Concerns - Line 15 North be received and adopted; 2. That no Community Safety Zone be created on Line 15 North between Highway #12 and Bass Lake Sideroad; 3. That no speed bumps be installed on Line 15 North between Highway #12 and Bass Lake Sideroad; 4, And Further That the Public Works Superintendent advise the residents of Line 15 North of Council's decision. Withdrawn. Motion No. CW-9 Moved by Fountain, Seconded by Marshall It is recommended that the motion with respect to Speed Control and Traffic Concerns - Line 15 North - Community Safety Zone be deferred for further information re: criteria to implement Community Safety Zone prior to Council's summer recess. Report No. PW 2005-06, Jerry Ball, Public Works Superintendent, re: Speed Control and Traffic Concerns - Line 15 North be received; 2. That a Community Safety Zone be created on Line 15 North between Highway #12 and Bass Lake Side road; 3. And Further That the Public Works Superintendent advise the residents of Line 15 North of Council's decision. Deferred. Motion No. CW-11 Moved by Hughes, Seconded by Crawford It is recommended that the motion re: Speed Control and Traffic Concerns - Line 15 North be deferred to Committee of the Whole, June 22, 2005 to be considered in conjunction with the Community Safety Zone issue, Carried. Motion No. CW-12 Moved by Marshall, Seconded by Fountain It is recommended that 1. Report No. PW 2005-06, Jerry Ball, Public Works Superintendent, re: Speed Control and Traffic Concerns - Line 15 North be received; 2. That speed bumps be installed on Line 15 North between Highway #12 and Bass Lake Sideroad; 3. Motion No. CW-13 Moved by Hughes, Seconded by Hough It is recommended that the minutes of the Committee of Adjustment meeting held on May 12, 2005 be received. Carried. 10. IN-CAMERA: None. 11.
