Mayor J. Neil Craig called the meeting to order and explained the public meeting is to
obtain public comments on a proposed amendment to the Zoning By-Law.
Notice of the Public Meeting was mailed to landowners within 120m of the specified site
on November 19, 2004 and posted on a sign on the subject property on November 19,
2004.
The following correspondence was received at the meeting: Simcoe County District
School Board dated November 26,2004; Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority
dated November 30, 2004; County of Simcoe dated November 28, 2004.
Andria Leigh, Senior Planner, provided an overview of the proposed amendment to the
Zoning By-Law.
The following persons offered verbal comments with respect to the proposed
amendment to the Zoning By-Law: None.
There being no further comments or questions, the meeting adjourned at 7:37 p.m.
A tape of the meeting is available for review at the Township Administration Centre, 148
Line 7 South.

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte will hold a Public Meeting on
Monday, December 13, 2004 at 7:10 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers. The purpose of the public meeting is
to obtain public comments on a proposed amendment to the Zoning By-law, under Section 34 of the Planning Act,
R.S.O. 1990 c. P. 13.
THE PURPOSE of the Zoning By-law Amendment would be to rezone the lands described as Concession 8, West
Part of Lot 26 (formerly within the Township of Oro). The applicant is applying to re-zone the lands from the
Shoreline Residential (SR) Zone to the Local Commercial Exception (LC*) Zone. The following uses will be
permitted by the exception:
. Fish hut rental establishment (means a premises where fish huts are rented to the traveling public, stored
and repaired)
. An accessory Single Detached Dwelling
. Convenience retail shops
. Business offices
A KEY MAP illustrating the location of the subject lands is provided below.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of or in
opposition to the proposed Amendment. If a person or public body that files an appeal of a decision of the Township
of Oro-Medonte in respect of the proposed Amendment does not make oral submission at the public meeting or make
written submissions to the Township before the proposed Amendment are adopted, the Ontario Municipal Board may
dismiss all or part of the appeal.
If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect to the proposed Zoning By-law
Amendment, you must make a written request to the address below.

Thank you for forwarding Notice of the Public Meeting for the above-noted rezoning application
to this office for review. The applicant wishes to operate legalize an existing fish hut rental
business that has been in operation since 1967.
Planning staff have no objections to the proposed rezoning application. Elementary students
residing in this area of the municipality attend Guthrie Public School and secondary students
attend Eastview Secondary School.
