Neil Craig called the meeting to order and explained the public meeting is to obtain public comments on a proposed amendment to the Zoning By-Law. Notice of the Public Meeting was mailed to landowners within 120m of the specified site on November 19,2004 and posted on a sign on the subject property on November 19, 2004. The following correspondence was received at the meeting: Simcoe County District School Board dated November 26,2004; Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority dated December 1,2004. Andria Leigh, Senior Planner, provided an overview of the proposed amendment to the Zoning By-Law. The following persons offered verbal comments with respect to the proposed amendment to the Zoning By-Law: Jeff Maize. There being no further comments or questions, the meeting adjourned at 7:31 p.m. A tape of the meeting is available for review at the Township Administration Centre, 148 Line 7 South. NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING FOR PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE ZONING BY-LAW OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE 2004-ZBA-22 TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte will hold a Public Meeting on Monday, December 13,2004 at 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers. The purpose of the public meeting is to obtain public comments on a proposed amendment to the Zoning By-law, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c. P. 13. THE PURPOSE of the Zoning By-law Amendment would be to rezone the lands described as Concession 5, Part Lot 4 (formerly within the Township of Oro). The subject land is proposed to be rezoned from the Agricultural/Rural (A/RU) Zone to the Rural Residential Two (RUR2) Zone. The applicant was recently granted consent to sever a rural residential lot which was approved by the Committee of Adjustment on June 10,2004 [Consent Application 2004-B-16]. As part of the provisional approval, the applicant must apply for and obtain a rezoning to restrict the use of the severed lot to being for residential purposes. A KEY MAP illustrating the location of the subject lands is provided below. ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed Amendment. If a person or public body that files an appeal of a decision of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect of the proposed Amendment does not make oral submission at the public meeting or make written submissions to the Township before the proposed Amendment are adopted, the Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss an or part of the appeaL If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect to the proposed Zoning By- law Amendment, you must make a written request to the address below.
