Mayor J. Neil Craig called the meeting to order and explained the public meeting is to
obtain public comments on a proposed amendment to the Zoning By-Law.
Notice of the Public Meeting was mailed to landowners within 120m of the specified site
on November 19,2004 and posted on a sign on the subject property on November 19,
2004.
The following correspondence was received at the meeting: Lake Simcoe Region
Conservation Authority dated December 3,2004; Simcoe County District School Board
dated November 26, 2004; County of Simcoe dated November 28, 2004.
Andria Leigh, Senior Planner, provided an overview of the proposed amendment to the
Zoning By-Law.
The following persons offered verbal comments with respect to the proposed
amendment to the Zoning By-Law: Dave Hill; Dan Rupke.
There being no further comments or questions, the meeting adjourned at 7:24 p.m.

TO THE ZONING BY-LAW
OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte will hold a Public
Meeting on Monday, December 13,2004 at 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers. The purpose of the
public meeting is to obtain public comments on a proposed amendment to the Zoning By-law, under Section 34
of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c. P. 13.
THE PURPOSE of the Zoning By-law Amendment would be to rezone the lands described as Concession 5,
East Part Lot 24 (formerly within the Township of Oro). The subject land is proposed to be rezoned from the
AgriculturallRural (AIRU) Zone to the Rural Residential Two (RUR2) Zone. The applicant was recently
granted consent to sever a rural residential lot which was approved by the Committee of Adjustment on
August 12, 2004 [Consent Application 2004-B-38]. As part of the provisional approval, the applicant must
apply for and obtain a rezoning to restrict the use of the severed lot to being for residential purposes.
A KEY MAP illustrating the location of the subject lands is provided below.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of
or in opposition to the proposed Amendment. If a person or public body that files an appeal of a decision of the
Township of Oro-Medonte in respect of the proposed Amendment does not make oral submission at the public
meeting or make written submissions to the Township before the proposed Amendment are adopted, the Ontario
Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal.
If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect to the proposed Zoning By-
law Amendment, you must make a written request to the address below.

We have reviewed the circulation provided by your oftice with respect to the above mentioned
application and advise the following:
1. We have reviewed the Ontario Base Mapping for this area and have determined that there
is a watercourse situated in close proximity to this property. Given that the upstream
drainage area is greater than 125 hectares, be advised that this property may be situated
partly or entirely within a Regional Storm Flood Plain.
2. As the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority does not have flood plain mapping
in this area, it is not regulated at this time and a permit for the proposal will not be
required ITom this Authority.

Thank you for forwarding Notice of the Public Meeting for the above-noted rezoning application
to this office for review. The applicant was recently granted consent from the Committee of
Adjustment to sever a residential lot. The rezoning will restrict the use of the severed lot for
residential purposes.
Planning staff have no objections to the proposed rezoning application. Elementary students
residing in this area of the municipality attend Guthrie Public School and secondary students
attend Eastview Secondary School.
