10 18 2004 ZBA-17 Public Agenda NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING FOR PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE ZONING BY-LAW OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE 2004-ZBA-17 TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte will hold a Public Meeting on Monday, October 18,2004 at 7:10 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers. The purpose of the public meeting is to obtain public comments on a proposed amendment to the Zoning By-law, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c. P. 13. THE PURPOSE of the Zoning By-law Amendment would be to rezone the lands described as Concession 4, Part of Lots 3 & 4, and Plan M-741, Lots 1-66 (formerly within the Township of Oro). The proposed rezoning would amend the existing Site Specific Residential One (R 1* 140) Zone on the subject property to allow for a revised rear yard setback specifically for decks with a minimum setback of 5.0 metres (16.4 feet) to the rear lot line abutting a residential lot and a 4.5 metre (14.7 feet) setback to the rear lot line abutting a recreational/open space block. A KEY MAP illustrating the location of the subject lands is provided below. ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed Amendment. If a person or public body that files an appeal of a decision of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect of the proposed Amendment does not make oral submission at the public meeting or make written submissions to the Township before the proposed Amendment are adopted, the Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal. If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect to the proposed Zoning By- law Amendment, you must make a written request to the address below. The application will amend the existing Site Specific Residential One (Rl * I 40) Zone on the subject property to allow for a revised rear yard setback specifically for decks for Lots 1-66 on Plan M-741. The decks will have a minimum setback of 5.0 metres to the rear lot line abutting a residential lot and 4.5 metres to the rear lot line abutting a recreational/open space block. Planning staff have no objections to the proposed rezoning application. Elementary students residing in this area of the municipality attend Guthrie Public School and secondary students attend Eastview Secondary School.
