FIRE OFFICER'S MEETING
A meeting of the Township Fire Officer's was scheduled for this evening
at 7: 30 p.m. All Council manbers requested to attend meeting.

The meeting was opened at 7:35 p.m. by Deputy Reeve McEwen who assumed the
chair in the absence of the Reeve.
Deputy Reeve McEwen turned meeting over to Chairperson of Fire Canmi.ttee I
The1ma Halfacre who asked the Fire Chief to commence with an explanation
of Dial Carrnunications with regard to dispatching for the Oro Fire Department.
Recorder at Shanty Bay Station - tower would still be a requirement.
1. Q. How many men would be required to man the system?
A. Place phone call about fire to dispatch number. Dispatch receive
clear message - then push button on encoder at Station to recording unit.

House numbering was discussed for information of all concerned. Fire Chief
is to prepare costing of dispatch system as canpared to present telephone
system for next Canmi ttee of Council meeting.

FIRE OFFICER'S MEETING
2. Boundary adjustment recommended for canplete one number change fran
lot 17 - 18 to 15/16 Side Road to make dispatching boundary easier
to follow.
3. Organization Chart - to be further presented.
4. Do we need two more officers at each station - discussed
5. Oro Fire Fighters Association - presently not functioning. Need to
make greater effort of all 4 stations. To be left for Fire Officer's
Meeting for detailed discussion.
6 . Mock Disaster
Problems - no communication
- many matters of concern were discussed including a 7 point
list suJ::mitted by No. 4 Station and each point was
discussed
Suggestion that carrnunication with Station be made in order that at
least all District Chiefs were aware that it was a mock disaster practice.
Deputy Reeve asked if any Officer present would like to bring forwarrJ.
to Fire Chief, Fire Carmi ttee or Council any questions, comments or
suggestions.
