Information only to be dealt with at meeting of Oro Council on July 15, 1985.

Recommendation that the format of the Report to Council and/or Committee of Council, as presented
be accepted and used for reporting and record by Department Heads and Council Committees.

Chairman, Robert Drury advised that the old equipment shed is presently
being taken down and plans for new building are being revised.
Parks & Rec. Committee
Parks & Recreation to meet on Monday, July 15, 1985 at 4:30 p.m.

Rep. from Fire Marshal's Office to meet with Chief & Deputy Chief on July 17th

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the matter of a proposal for joint dispatch serVlce.
Reeve Davie related the meetings with City of Barrie with regard to dispatch and County of Simcoe
proposed study, then called on Township of Oro Fire Chief to present avenues sought to date in
this regard.

Fire Chief Ron Young discussed matter of answerIng servIce researched to this point.
Administrator/Treasurer, Bob Small brought up the matter of meeting with the Fire Chief of
the City of Barrie who had indicated that he would not be recommending to City Council to
take on Oro at this time.
Chief Hamilton indicated that County of Simcoe apparently have received a Jeep Grant to com-
mence a County Study on Fire Dispatch Services.

Chief Hamilton:
Indicated that present telephone answering service was not efficient.
Councillor Drury - asked Chief White how their system with Orillia operated. City of Orillia
dispatches for Township of Orillia. Cost for dispatch Orillia - $350/mth
($4200 annually).
Open discussion continued on the subject with all parties participating.
The matter of property numbering within the municipality was discussed.

to set up a joint dispatch system. (to be undertaken by Fire Chief & Deputy Chief
and C.A.O.)
Mr. A. Bosman from the Ministry of Natural Resources was present as requested by Council in
accordance with schedule on Agenda.

Committee of Council recommend that Oro Council would have no objection to the Ministry of
Natural Resources issuing a water lot in front of the property of Donato Dimetteo, Part
Block IB", Registered Plan 798, Concession 8, Township of Oro.
Administrator/Treasurer brought several other matters to the attention of Council.
Committee of Council adjourned at 9:45 p.m.
