COMMITTEE OF COUNCIL MEETING

Reeve R.S. Arbour in the chair - meeting opened at 7:15 p.m.
Road Committee
Road Superintendent, Fred Haughton was present at 7:15 p.m. with respect
to road matters, presented as follows:

Preparation of roads for Prime has started
Crushing for these roads starts Monday
Surface treatment tentative start on June 8th. Hope to complete

Proposed construction of 15/16 Side Road depends on progress of
Clear & Grubb
Drain at Ivan Clark's is completed

Presented letter from G.R. Trevin of the Ministry of the Environment,
Central Region, who is Program Secretary for Lake Simcoe - Couchiching
Strategy, advising of First Annual Program Review Meeting to be held on
June 19, 1981 at Midhurst, at 10:30 a.m. Letter requests representative
from the Township of Oro
It was recommended that Councillor Vousden be appointed to represent the
Township of Oro.

Presented Agreement affadavit from Andrew N. Gabura and Millie V. Gabura,
of Lots 49 & 60, Plan 626, requiring Council's approval to reside in the
existing residence until the new residence is constructed. Building Permit
cannot be issued by the Chief Building Official until Council consent to
the Agreement.

Committee of Council recommend to Council that the Agreement as signed
be acceptable and a resolution be passed to approve the Agreement on
Monday June 1, 1981. Chief Building Official be advised accordingly.
Council left at 7:45 p.m. to visit the site of the Park Lands of 1488
and after the review of the area it was left that the Reeve contact the
Simcoe Side Ratepayers Association to express Council's recommendations.
At the same time Council visited Oro Memorial Park with reference as to
where to erect the new sign which sets hours and rates.
It was left that the Park Committee attend to the erection of the Sign
and moving of the flag pole.
The next matter discussed was the matter of the signs for the three
Wharves leased by the Township of Oro for administration.
The Park Committee was authorized to have proper signs painted and erec-
ted.
Clerk was requested tcreforward a letter to Shanty Bay Ratepayers Assoc.,
with respect to appointing a Wharf Master, rather than the letter forward-
ed to Mr. Gordon Grant, which had been represented to the Reeve in order
that Shanty Bay Ratepayers receive the letter and appoint someone as the
Wharf Master and advise Council of same.

Waste Disposal Committee
Chairman, Councillor Stan Vousden reported on repairs to the loader at the
Waste Disposal Site.
Councillor Allan Jo~nson reported that he had received notice from Bass
Lake Green Birch Beach Ratepayers Association of the Annual Meeting and
Agenda for same.
