Business arising from the ~inutes Tte meeting was advised of the communications with Een Sitter Froject Coordinator, Euronia Tourist Association (ETA) who had indicated that he would advise as to when a meeting would be called. Also Council have advised of a representative of Council to attend such a meeting. Corres,!:ondence, Communications (a) Letter from Ontario Regional Coordinator, Heritage Canada forwarcring inforlation on effective workshop develo;ed to bring a community together to discuss about its heritage. Co~y of workshop agenda and the surprising conclusions reached by the farticipantsoduring the developing of a Community's strategy for Heritage Workshop to be conducted in October. It was moved by Beenice Hickling and seconded by Jadeen Henderson that the Chairman review the correspondence and report back to the Committee and that the corresfondence then be filed for reference, should no action be taken. Old and Unfinished Business ( ~ ~ "C;) Presented letter from the To~nship Clerk in resfonse to requests of the Committee at the last regular meeting: (i) Representetive of Council to attend a meèting with HTA: 'Council have appointed Councillor Neil Craig as their representative to meet with the Huronia Tourist Association, Simcoe County storical sociation, Oro - donte History Committee and the Black Community in Collingwood, th res ect to ove lie awareness to the African Eniscor C ch ted donte.' . . r.~.. It was moved by Jadeen Eenderscn and seconded by Loreen (Rice) Lucas that the letter in responêe to the request of the Committee be received and filed for reference. New Business (a) Workdshop meetings - suggested dates February 20th or 23ed. It was agreed that a work meeting be scheduled for February 2l, to review Video tapes to identify specific items to be used for the proposed rublication of the early 1900's. The meeting is to be teld at the home of the Chairman at 9=30 a.m. All members able to attend to do so. 8 (b) Dates for future meeting of this Committee were set for the second blonday of each month on a trial basis. Accordingly the next meeting would be March 13, 1995. (c) fresented the new Logo for Ore COUl'1C il donte as aprroved by (d) The Chairman advised that it should be recorded that the following Assessment and Collectors Rolls have been taken from the Vault for historic purpose: (February 14,1995) Assessment Roll 1923 Collector1s Roll 19l7 II !I 1918 II II 1923 It was also resolved that Walter Hutchinson take the qbove mentioned Rolls to review and compile any information of the 1920's and esrlier regarding owner and tenants on the various properties or other data. Jadeen Henderson mentioned that she and t Chairman had attended at several different Fublic Schools when requested by teachers to show and Bommentate household items and tools used in the earlier years. Antique tools and items seem to be of great interest to the uounger children am that they arrear to sho ~ great interest. As well they make reference to the activities of the History Committee in the past as well as future endeavourS.
