01 07 1983 COW Minutes (2) IJ 1\ e COMMITTEE OF COUNCIL MEETING IL CHAMBERS 1983 JANUARY 7 Committee of Council met this morning as scheduled from meetin9 of Council held on January 3, 1983 to consider a program under Canada/Ontario Development Program. Meeting opened at 10:35 a.m. to discuss the matter scheduled. Types of programs were presented for discussion which had been prepared by Deputy-Reeve Joanna McEwen and Councillor Thelma Halfacre, who had reviewed the application and guide for Municipalities. It was suggested that a program be established for a maintenance custodian for the Township, which shall include work in Departments on basis of 40 hours per week for two people to com- mence as soon as possible after application has been approved. The program to commence at an hourly rate of $5.00 per hour which may be reviewed and established on the Job Description of hourly employees. Clerk and Deputy Clerk to prepare the application for the program and same be presented to next Committee of Council meeting on January 13, 1983, for recommendation to Council at their regular meeting January 17, 1983. The matter of Parks & Recreation Study Committee Report was presented for discussion and it was left that all comments and suggestions of Council be prepared prior to meeting with Council which is tentatively proposed for some time in February. Deputy Reeve McEwen then brought to the attention of Council, the matter of roads on Plan 1, in particular Monk Street and presented various copies of correspondence in this regard. It was suggested that the parties involved be requested to put a request in writing, to Council about their concerns after which the matter may then be referred to Township Solicitor for legal interpretation and clarification and in their correspondence, the parties involved should be prepared for costs that will necessarily arise. Several other matters were presented for information of Committee of Council, which are to be dealt with in the near future. Meeting adjourned at 12:45 p.m. Reeve - S.
