2004-102To Amend Schedules "A" and "B" of By-law No. 2004-017, to provide a schedule of retention periods for the records of Township of Oro-Medonte THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE BY-LAW NO. 2004-102 A By-law to Amend Schedules" A" and "B" of By-law No. 2004-017, A By-law to provide a schedule of retention periods for the records of the Township of Oro-Medonte WHEREAS the Township of Oro-Medonte did, on the 3rd day of March, 2004, enact By- law No. 2004-017, being a By-law to provide a schedule of retention periods for the records of the Township of Oro-Medonte under the authority of The Municipal Act, S.O. 2001, c. 25, as amended, Section 255; AND WHEREAS the Council of The Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte deems it appropriate to amend Schedules "A" and "B" of By-law No. 2004-017; NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Township of Oro-Medonte hereby enacts as follows: That Sections E01 and E02 of the Scope Notes for Secondary Subjects - E - Environmental Services of Schedule "A" of By-law No. 2004-017 be deleted in their entirety and replaced with the following: 1. EO1 EO2 SANITARY SEWERS Includes records regarding the design, construction and maintenance of sanitary sewers and septic systems. Includes specifications and monitoring of septic systems. Excludes Waste Management - see EO7 Storm Sewers - see EO2 Treatment Plans - see EO3 STORM SEWERS Includes records regarding the design, construction and maintenance of storm sewers and storm water management ponds. That Sections H03 and H07 of the Scope Notes for Secondary Subjects - H - Human Resources of Schedule "A" of By-law No. 2004-017 be deleted in their entirety and replaced with the following: 2. HO3 HO7 EMPLOYEE RECORDS Includes records regarding the employment history of municipal employees. Includes initial resumes and applications, performance evaluations, correspondence with the employee, and employee assistance. Includes full-time, part-time and student employees. LABOUR RELATIONS Includes records regarding the relationship between labour and management. Includes collective bargaining, correspondence with unions and negotiations. Excludes Grievances - see Grievances HO7 A Collective Agreement - see Contacts and Agreements - under seal LO4 3. That the Scope Notes for Secondary Subjects - H - Human Resources of Schedule "A" of By-law No. 2004-017 be amended to include: HOl A GRIEVANCES Includes records regarding grievances filed by unionized staff and all supporting documentation. Excludes Labour Relations - see Labour Relations HO7 Collective Agreement - see Contacts and Agreements - under seal LO4 H11A RESUMES - UNSOLICITED Includes unsolicited resumes received by the municipality. 4. That the Records Retention Schedule for Primary Heading: Human Resources of Schedule "B" of By-law No. 2004-017 be amended to include: Code Secondary Heading Retention Remarks HO7 A Grievances 7 H11A Resumes - Unsolicited 6 months 5. This by-law shall take effect on the final passing thereof. BY-LAW READ A FIRST AND SECOND TIME THIS 6TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 2004.
