THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MEOONTE
BY-LAW NlMBER 83-17
BEING a By-Law to appoint a Committee of Adjustment for the
Township of Medonte
WHEREAS Section 43 (1) of the Planning Act, 1983 authorizes
Council to appoint a Committee of Adjustment
AND WHEREAS Council is desirous to appoint such a committee;
NOW THEREFORE, The Council of the Corporation of the Township
of Medonte enacts as follows:
1) That Don Bell, John Rynard, Ross Gibson, Doug Ferris
Orval Edwards are hereby appointed as members of the
Township of Medonte Committee of Adjustment
2) That the above members shall hold office for the term
of the Council that appointed them.
3) POWERS OF Ca.1MITTEE
a) Consent -
As provided for under section 53(2) Council
hereby grants the Committee of Adjustment the
power as provided for under Section 52 of the
Planning Act
b) Minor Variance -
As provided for under section 44 Council hereby
grants the Committee of Adjustment the powers
as provided for under Section 44 (1), 44 (2) and
44 (3) of the Planning Act
4) That the Chairman shall be paid $35.00 per meeting and the
members shall be paid $30.00 per meeting. In addition, the
members shall be paid at the Township Part Time Labour Rate
plus mileage for their time doing on site inspections.
(Presently $7.09 per hour plus ~2~ per Kilometer)
5) In addition to the provisions of the Planning Act and
the regulations thereto, the Committee shall have regard
to the following which are attached to and form Appendix "AI!
to this By-Law
6) That this By-Law shall take effect on the date of its
passing
READ a First and Second Time, read a Third time and passed
this 22nd day of August, 1983.

APPENDIX "AI!
DIRECTIONS TO THE Ca1MITTEE OF ADJUSTMENT IN ADDITION
TO THE REGUlATIONS
1) All Applications, whether for Consent or Minor variance
which are along a County or Township Road must be sent
to the appropriate Road Authority for their comments.
2) All applications shall come before CotIDcil before they go
to the Committee of Adjustment for Council"s recommendation.

3) All owners of land shall have owned the land for two years
in order to have a consent.
