1982-001 Medonte THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MEDONTE BY~ LAW 82-1 .. BEING a By-Law to provide for interest to be added to tax arrears WHEREAS under provisions of the MUNICIPAL INTEREST AND Discount Rates Act, 1981, a Municipality! may charge interest on tax arrears. NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Medonte ENACTS: e (1) that tax arrears are taxes that are due and unpaid after December 31, of the year in which they are levied; (2) that the prime rate of interest of the Toronto-Dominion Bank on this ',€lth day of January, 1982 is 16 & 1/2%. (3) that the interest to be charged on unpaid tax arrears shall be at the rate of 18% per annum. (4) that the Treasurer shall add to the amount of all tax arrears due and unpaid, interest at the rate of 1 & 1/2% per month for each month or fraction thereof from the day of the passing of this by-law until the day a by~law in respect of interest payable on tax arrears comes into force in the next following year; (5) that no interest added to taxes shall be compounded; (6) that this by~law shall take effect on the l~th day of January, 1982. THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MEDONTE BY-LAW 1430 BEING A BY~LAW TO ADOPT AMENDMENT NUMBER ONE TO THE OFFICIAL PLAN OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MEDONTE PLANNING AREA WHEREAS the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the Township of Medonte deems it desirable to adopt Amendment Number One to the Official Plan of the Township of Medonte. . NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Medonte enacts as follows: 1. That Amendment Number One to the Official Plan of the Township of Medonte Planning Area comprising the attached pages and Explanatory Text which has been recommended by the Township of Medonte Planning Board be and the same is hereby adopted. 2. That the Reeve and Clerk be and are hereby directed to execute the said amendment on behalf of the Corporation and to affix thereto the Corporate Seal. 3. That the Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to make application to the Minister of Housing for approval of the Township of Medonte said Amendment Number One to the Official Plan of the Township of Medonte Planning Area pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Planning Act R. Municipal Corporation of the of MEDONTE TOWNSHIP A BY-LAW to authorize the borrowing of $600.000.00 WH E R EAS pursuant to Section 332 of The Municipal Act the Council of the Corporation deems it necessary to borrow monies from time to time to meet, until the taxes are collected, the current expenditures for the year 19 -.82. S. O. 1970 as amended. NOW THEREFORE Council of the Township of Medonte hereby enacts as follows: 1) That Ward Mallette Chartered Accountants, 89 Dunlop Street East, Barrie, Ontario aDe hereby appointed as Municipal Auditors for the Township of Medonte. 2) That this appointment shall carryon until terminated by either party by giving one months written notice. 3) That By~Laws 1130 and 1235 of the Township of Medonte are hereby repealed. THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MEDONTE BY- LAW 1426 BEING A BY~LAW to establish a Reserve Fund for the purpose of constructing a new Municipal Adminstration Centre. WHEREAS Council is desirous to construct a new Municipal Adminstration Centre AND WHEREAS Council has sold a piece of property and wishes the funds to be set aside for the above noted building; . AND WHEREAS Section 308 (1) of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1970 authorizes Council to establish a Reserve Fund; NOW THEREFORE be it enacted that: 1) The General Revenue of the Township of Medonte as set down in the budget estimate is hereby increased by $60,000.00. 2) That 60,000.00 shall be paid into a special account to be used for that purpose as noted above and the earnings derived from the special account shall form part of the Reserve Fund. 3) That this By~Law shall come into effect on date of passing thereof: Passed this 14th Day of December, 1981. eb~ (Th Head of the Corporation) (Peeve) . WHEREAS Council is desirous to purchase capital equipment for the Medonte Fire Department AND WHEREAS Council receives revenue throughout . the year which is earned by the Fire Department which is not part of the budget estimates; AND WHEREAS Section 308 (1) of the Municipal Act, R. S.
