03 10 1994 PAC Minutes <- - e -- , MINUTES OF THE SECOND MEETING OF THE ORO-MEDONTE PLANNING ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING HELD THURSDAY MARCH 10. 1994. @ 7:00 P.M. - COMMITTEE ROOM Present: Councillor Alastair Crawford, Deputy Reeve Norman Dalziel, Councillor Donald Bell, Councillor Len Mortson, Deputy Mayor Ian Beard, Councillor Walter Dickie, Reeve David Caldwell, Councillor Murray Martin Absent: Mayor Robert Drury, Councillor Joanne Crokam Staff Present: Ms. Kris Menzies, Mr. Al Lees, Mrs. Meryl Drake. 1. Councillor Alastair Crawford called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 2. "DISCLOSURE OF PECUNIARY INTEREST AND THE GENERAL NATURE THEREOF - IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ACT" None Declared. 3. MINUTES: Moved by Deputy Reeve Norm Dalziel, and Seconded by Reeve David Caldwell THAT the minutes of the meeting of the Township of Oro-Medonte Planning Advisory Committee held February 10, 1994, be adopted as circulated. Carried. 4. CORRESPONDENCE AND COMMUNICATIONS: None There was some discussion regarding OPA 37 and the appeal to divisional court by the Township, to clarify the situation for the members. 5. DELEGATIONS (a) 7:15 p.m. P-17/92 Paul Miller Part Lot 20, Concession 10 (Former Township of Oro) Mr. Paul Miller and Mr. John Foster, of Foster Engineering Services appeared before the Planning Advisory Committee to review the application for an Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law Amendment to redesignate Part of Lot 20, Concession 10 from the Agricultural designation to the Industrial designation to permit the development of a storage area and parking facility. e e . -2- Mr. Foster outlined the proposed site, roadways, parking areas, septic system, drainage and future phases of development. There was general discussion by the Planning Advisory Committee members regarding the proposed development as far as lighting, signage, dumping stations and the ramifications of the OPA 37 decision and appeal before the Court. 7. OTHER BUSINESS None. 8. RECOMMENDATIONS Moved by Reeve David Caldwell, and Seconded by Deputy Mayor Ian Beard It is recommended to Council that Development Application P-17/92 (Paul Miller), Part Lot 20, Concession 10 for an Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-Law Amendment that this proposal proceed to a public meeting upon a favourable comment from the ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. carried. 9. ADJOURNMENT : There being no further business the meeting was adjourned. Moved by Reeve David Caldwell, and Seconded by Deputy Mayor Ian Beard. THAT the meeting now be adjourned @ 8:45 p.m. Carried.
