Community Services The following correspondence and items for discussion were presented: ( a) Ministry of Tourism & Recreation re: Recreation Service, Research Program County of Simcoe 1985 Annual Report -Family & Children's Service (b) Motion No.1 Moved by Burton, seconded by SWerdon It is recommended that the letter frail Barrie & District Association for the Mentally Retarded concerning a 1986 grant be referred to the Budget Meeting to be held on Tuesday, May 13, 1986. Carried Motion No.2 Moved by Halfacre, seconded by Caldwell It is recommended that the following members of Council and Staff be registered for the Association of Municipalities of Ontario Annual Conference to be held in Toronto from August 24th through August 27th inclusive, 1986 at the Royal York Hotel: Reeve Drury, Councillor Caldwell and Robert Small and further that the above mentioned members be considered voting delegates. Carried. Motion No.3 Moved by Burton, seconded by SWerdon It is reconmended that the Administrator/Clerk be allowed to apply for the following number of American Express CorPOrate Cards: 2 ( two) . Carried. Motion No.4 Moved by Swerdon, seconded by Burton It is recommended that the Administrator/Clerk's Report re: cleæling of municipal building be received and adopted. Carried. Motion No.5 Moved by Halfacre, seconded by Caldwell It is recommended that the Hawkestone Police Village proposed 1986 Budget be referred to the Treasurer for a report back to Council at their Budget Meeting to be held Tuesday, May 13, 1986. Carried. Motion No.6 Moved by Burton, seconded by Swerdon It is recommended that the Report from the Administrator/Clerk re: photocopier and postage meter lease be received and adopted. Carried. - 3 - Motion No.7 Moved by Burton, seconded by SWerdon It is reconmended that the report frail Holly Spacek re: Langman lot levy be received and adopted. Carried. Motion No.8 .e I I Moved by Caldwell, seconded by Halfacre It is recomnended that the 1st Oro Boy Scouts be given $100.00 to clear adjacent properties of paper. Carried. Note: Reeve Drury vacated the chair as per By-law, and Councillor Swerdon assumed the chair following Deputy Reeve Halfacre's refusal, to allow the Reeve to introduce Resolution No.9. The Reeve reassumed the chair following the vote. Motion No.9 Moved by Drury, seconded by Caldwell It is recommended that the report from Township Planner Holly Spacek re: Windfield Estates be received and curved road be built to M.T.C. standards and subject to the Road Superintendent's approval and further each end of the road have a gate adjacent to the cul-de-sac and the road be paved and lighted to the satisfaction of the Township with keys provided to the Township staff. Motion No. 10 Moved by Caldwell, seconded by Halfacre It is recorrmended that the Administrator/Clerk arrange a series of meetings between the Trustees of the Police Village of Hawkestone and the Staff and the Reeve of the Township to discuss the level of services that the Township could provide the Police Village, some of which are now being provided by the Police Village, in exchange for the possible change in status of the Police Village to dissolve and become part of the Township. Carried. Motion No. 11 Moved by Burton, seconded by Swerdon It is recomnended that the correspondence from the Ministry of Natural Resources re: seminar on Pits & Quarries be referred to the Road Supt. and further, if he wishes to attend he may do so. Carried. Motion No. 12 Moved by Burton, seconded by Swerdon It is reconmended that the tenders for the Snow Plow Truck be referred to the Road Supt. for a report back to Council. Carried. .. Motion No. 13 Moved by Swerdon, seconded by Burton It is recomnended that the Conmittee of the vlhole make Council and Planning Advisory Conmittee that no future Oro Township include cul-de-sacs.
