COUNCIL CHAMBERS -FIFTH MEETING 1985-88 COUNCIL ro Council met this evening pursuant to adjournment at 7:00 p.m. with e following members present: Reeve Robert E. Drury Councillor David Burton Councillor David Caldwell Councillor Robert Swerdon puty Reeve Halfacre was absent due to ill health. eeve Drury chaired the meeting. opened the meeting with prayer. so present were: Holly Spacek, Mr. & Mrs. Simpson, Bill Stott, Jack Lee, arle & Betty Phillips, Susan Grant, Linda Koster, Anita Beaton, Ted Beaton, ony & Barbara Muscat, Neil McNiven, Mr. & Mrs. Griep. isclosure & Declaration of Conflict of Interest ouncillor Caldwell declared a conflict of interest in relation to the putation on the agenda concerning the Tax Adjustments scheduled for 7: 30 p.m. d requested that application no. 16 be dealt with separately as he as an interest in the property. o other conflicts were declared. 7:30 p.m. Application for tax adjustments under Sections 495 & 496 of the Municipal Act. (Councillor Caldwell declared a Conflict of Interest concerning application no. 16 and left his chair and did not discuss the issue or vote on the resolution) 7:35 p.m. Mr. Earl Phillips representing the Hamilton King Forresters Orienteering Event to be held on August 16 and 17 in Oro Township along with other members of the club. Mr. Walsh representing the affected property owners, some of whom were present, spoke to Council on the concerns of the property owners over the use of their property for this event. 8:28 p.m. Mr. Russ Sparrow spoke to Council re: the disposition of Lot 9, Concession 6, Huguenot Holdings 109.2 acres adjacent to the land fill site. (This was discussed in the Corrmittee of the Whole) 8:45 p.m. Mr. & Mrs. Simpson spoke to Council in Corrmittee of the Whole on their letter with regards to lots 1 to 5, Registered Plan 1154. Officers e following reports were reviewed by Council: (a) 9:00 p.m. Holly Spacek, Township Planner, presented a report on trailers used as a secondary residence. (b) The Administrator/Clerk presented a report on a proposed policy for answering Official Plan and Zoning information.
