The following Members of Council were present: Reeve Robert E. Fire Chief, Paul Eenhoorn spoke to Council with regards to the updating of the Ðnergency Plan with sPecific discussion taking place on an Ðnergency Cœmunication System. 9:50 A.M. Township Planner, Holly Spacek reported on a Trailer located on West l/2 of Lot 23, Concession II as outlined in her report dated December 15, 1986. lO:OO A.M. Mr. John 0' Kurily and Gerry Kowal representing The Ukrainian Canp and Mr. M.R. Truax, the Township Garbage Contractor spoke to Council on the cost of the garbage collection at the Ukrainian Camp. ll:OO A.M. Mr. W. M. Salter, Architect spoke to Council on providing Architectural Services to the TCMnShip for the new Municipal Building. 3. Carried. Motion No.2 Moved by Halfacre, seconded by Caldwell It is recornnended that the Administrator/Clerk invite representatives from Hardwood Hills Club to a future Committee of the Whole Meeting. Carried. Motion No.3 Moved by Caldwell, seconded by Halfacre It is recornnended that the Administrator/Clerk correspond with the Trustees of the Police Village of Hawkestone and advise them that the Hawkestone Park located on Lot 22, Concession 11 of Oro Ta.vnship is held in trust by the Township of Oro for the Police Village of Hawkestone, and further, he will advise the Police Village Trustees that any costs incurred by the Township will be the responsibility of the Hawkestone Police Village Trustees and is to be included in their budget and taken fran their levy. Carried. Motion No.4 Moved by Burton, seconded by Halfacre It is recornnended that the Administrator/Clerk correspond with the Hawkestone Police Village Trustees and advise them that the Hawkestone Corrmuni ty Hall located on Lot 22, Concession 12 is owned by the Corporation of the Township of Oro in trust for the Police Village of Hawkestone, and further, he will advise the Trustees that they have two options in the operation of this Hall: (a) The Trustees may operate the Hall in like-fashion to the present Hall Board which would require the Trustees to look after all bookings, maintenance, and the general operation of the Hall; and would still require the Treasurer of the Corporation of the Township of Oro to maintain the financial records of the Hall, as he is the Treasurer for the Police Village as well as the Corporation. The second option is to turn the Care Control and Management of the Hall over to the Township to appoint a Hall Board, as it has been done in the past number of years; in either case, the financial records are the responsibility of the Township of Oro, whichever option the Police Village Trustees decide on, all costs related to the operation of this Hall including insurance will be derived from the Police Village Levy. Further the Clerk is to request confirmation in writing as to which option the Trustees wish to pursue. Carried. Motion No.5 (b) Moved by Caldwell, seconded by Halfacre It is recornnended that the Administrator/Clerk advise the Law Firm of Bennett Jones that it would be appreciated if further correspondence with reference to applications before the Enengy Board be received prior to the deadline for filing submissions, and a copy of this letter be sent to the Energy Board. Carried. ~ 8 8 WI - 3 - Motion No.6 Moved by Burton, seconded by Swerdon It is recommended that the Roads Superintendent, Fred Haughton re: Cost to clear the praœnade be received, and further, reccmœnded that the Township send the Bill for clearing costs to this date to the appropriate parties. Carried. Motion No.7 Moved by Halfacre, seconded by Caldwell It is recarrænded that Council consider a Cœmunication Centre in the New Municipal Building provided a J.E.P.P. Grant is received for the project. Carried. Motion No.8 Moved by Burton, seconded by SWerdon It is recornnended that Holly Spacek, Township Planner's Report on the Trailer located on the West 1/2 of Lot 23, Concession 11 be received. Carried. Motion No.9 Moved by SWerdon, seconded by Burton It is recornnended that the Report of Jim Shellswell, Chief Building Official re: Tim McHardy Cottage on Part of Lot 26, Concession 7 be received. Carried. Motion No. 10 Moved by Burton, seconded by Caldwell It is recornnended that the Arena Management Cœmittee and the Carmunity Centres Parks and Recreation Cœmittee be amalgamated into one Committee, which shall consist of all Members of Council and five appointed citizens, provided that the Ministry of Tourism and Recreation agree with the Amendment to the present By-law. Carried. Motion No. 11 Moved by Burton, seconed by SWerdon It is recornnended that the Minutes of the Oro Cœmuni ty Centres Parks and Recreation Committee dated December 11, 1986 be adopted as printed and circulated. Carried. Motion No. 12 Moved by Caldwell, seconded by Burton It is recornnended that the use of Lots 1 and 2, Plan 655, Concession 8 owned by Mr. Jasinski not be used for Parking for the ice fishermen. The 7th Line and Lakeshore Rd W., and further, the Township make arrangements to snCM plow Oro Memorial Park and Shellswell Park to allCM parking for the ice fishermen, and further, that this resolution be sent to the Roads Superintendent, Fred Haughton for corrment. NI 8 8 WI - 4 - Motion No. 14 Moved by Burton, seconded by SWerdon It is recornnended that the Arena Manager, Parks Superintendent, Dwight Taylor attend the Meeting to be held Thursday, January 8, 1987 at the County Administration Building with regards to the 1987 Senior Games. Salter, Architect, be hired to do Architectural Services to build a new Municipal Building to the point of awarding construction contracts, and a topographical survey. Carried.
