08 31 1987 Sp Council Minutes 7 THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO MONDAY, AUGUST 31, 1987 - COUNCIL CHAMBERS SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING SEVENTIETH MEETING 1985-88 COUNCIL Oro Council met this evening pursuant to adjournment @ 7:00 p.m. with the following members present: Reeve Robert E. Drury Deputy Reeve Thelma Halfacre Councillor David Burton Councillor David Caldwell Councillor Robert Swerdon Reeve Robert E. Drury chaired the meeting. Also present were: Ms. Holly Spacek, Mr. Ron watkin, and Mr. George Donavon. Reeve Drury opened the meeting by explaining to those present, the purpose of the public meeting was to introduce a proposed Zoning By-law Amendment under Section 34(12) of the Planning Act. The proposed zoning amendment to rezone Part of Lot 20, Concession 6, from the Agricultural (A) Zone to the General Commercial (Cl) Zone. The proposed use of the property will be a single-family detached dwelling with a piano sales and repair outlet in the basement. Notice of this public meeting was circulated to the area affected and to all land owners within 120 metres of the area affected on July 22, 1987, in accordance with Ontario Regulations. In addition, notices were sent to agencies considered to have an interest in the matter. The Reeve then asked the Clerk if there has been any correspondence received for this particular meeting, Clerk responded that no correspondence had been received. The Reeve then turned the meeting over to the Township Planner, Ms. Holly Spacek who explained the purpose and affect of the proposed amendment. The Reeve then asked those prese~t if they had any questions or concern with regards to the proposal. There were no questions from those present. The Reeve prior to closing the meeting asked if anybody wished to be notified of the passing of the proposed by-law, they were to leave their name and address with the Clerk.
