(c) (b) Mr. David Bull spoke to the Committee with regards to a proposed property development on lands described as Ept Lot 6, Concession 12 (This portion of the meeting was held In-Camera) 8:40 p.m. (c) 9:10 p.m. Hawkestone Police Village Trustees, Chris Gunnell, Bradley Richardson, Tom Sturge and Secretary Ms. Leona Winteringham addressed the Committee on the following topics: (a) (b) (c) Sidewalks: Volunteers for the Community Hall: Accessing capital funds for the upgrading of the Hawkestone Community Hall the Trustees questioned the Treasurer on how they could access the Winter Carnival fund. The Treasurer advised the Trustees he would not release these funds unless former winter Carnival Committee Members authorized such a release and further the Township auditors agreed to this action Copies of Council minutes being sent to the Trustees free of charge: The Trustees would appreciate being advised of any Industrial/Commercial and/or subdivision plans which may come forward within the geographic boundaries of the Police Village: Flashing light at the intersection of the Ridge Road and the 11th Line. Small, Administrator/Clerk concerning the purchase of Township of Oro flags as well as Canadian and Provincial flags be received and adopted. Carried. Motion No.6 Moved by Johnson, seconded by Caldwell It is recommended that the confidential correspondence from Michael W. Shain, Township Solicitor concerning the Township of Oro sale to Crawford be received and further the Administrator/Clerk advise the Solicitor that the Township is in agreement with the amendment in paragraph 4 concerning a change in the word Architect to Chief Building Official. Malcolm be approved and further the Treasurer is hereby authorized to issue a cheque in the amount of $61,705.27 to Dawson Contracting (Barrie) Limited. Carried. Motion No.9 Moved by Johnson, seconded by Caldwell It is recommended that the request from the Public Services Administrator Fred Haughton concerning 60 pins being given to Grades 1 and 2 students of W.R. Best Public School be approved. Carried. Motion No. 10 Moved by Burton, seconded by Crawford It is recommended that the Public Services Administrator and By-law Enforcement/Animal Control Officer be allowed to attend the Weed Control Seminar to be held Friday, March 31, 1989. Carried. Motion No. 11 Moved by Caldwell, seconded by Johnson It is recommended that the objection to Official Plan Amendment No. 36 submitted by Donald R. MacDonald be received. Carried. Motion No. 12 Moved by Crawford, seconded by Burton It is recommended that the Summary Report of the Study of a Rule Curve Change on Lake Simcoe, Couchiching and Trent- Severn Waterway be received. Murray, Secretary of Murray Home Improvements Incorporated with regards to classification of home occupation be referred to the Township Planner for a report back to Council. Carried. Shain, Township Solicitor concerning the land exchange with Mr. Rod Raikes be received. Carried. Motion No. 15 Moved by Caldwell, seconded by Johnson It is recommended that the memo from Bob James, Animal Control/By-law Enforcement Officer concerning the trailer located on the 4th Concession be received. Motion No. 16 Moved by Crawford, seconded by Burton It is recommended that the appraisal report and evaluation analysis of property legally described as Block 26 Registered Plan 51M-295 be received and adopted and further the Administrator/Clerk is to direct the Township Solicitor as follows: (a) to ascertain whether or not Mrs. Ann Marie Sier is prepared to pay the cost of the appraisal in the amount of $900.00: (b) to ascertain whether Mrs. Sier and the other abutting property owners are prepared to pay their proportion of the appraised price for Block 26.
