(a) Earl Robertson re: serving on the Oro History Committee Mrs. Ruth Langman re: declining to serve on the Oro History Committee Minutes of the Township of Oro History Committee Meeting OTHER BUSINESS Councillor David Burton indicated that there had been a number of garbage complaints received over the long weekend in the area of Orillia Street from Mr. Andrews: other Council members indicated they had received the same complaints. Councillor David Burton also requested the Administrator/ Clerk to have the Arena/Parks Supervisor remove the flag from the Oro Memorial Park. Motion No.1 Moved by Caldwell, seconded by Crawford It is recommended that the letter from John Eakins, Minister of Municipal Affairs concerning the Township of Oro's Ward Study be received. Carried. Motion No.2 Moved by Burton, seconded by Johnson It is recommended that the confidential correspondence from Michael W. Shain, Township Solicitor, with regards to the Oro sale to Dubeau be received and further the Administrator/ Clerk advise the Solicitor that the Dubeau's have constructed a building with gross floor area exceeding 4,000 square feet and further the Solicitor is to discharge the said mortgage at the earliest possible date. Carried. Motion No.3 Moved by Crawford, seconded by Caldwell It is recommended that the confidential correspondence from Township Solicitor Michael W. Shain concerning road closures on Plan 798 be received and further the Solicitor prepare the necessary by-laws to close the untravelled roads on Plan 798 at the earliest possible date for review by Council. Carried. Motion No.4 Moved by Caldwell, seconded by Crawford It is recommended that the correspondence from the Association of Municipalities of Ontario concerning Bill 113, an Act to Amend the Retail Business Holidays Act be received. Motion No.5 Moved by Caldwell, seconded by Crawford It is recommended that the correspondence from the Association of Municipalities of Ontario with regards to a Seminar to be held on the Municipal Elections Act, Campaign and Expenses Report be received and further the following persons be allowed to attend: Reeve Robert E. Drury. Carried. Motion No.6 Moved by Johnson, seconded by Burton It is recommended that the correspondence from Consumers Gas concerning Prices Corners proposed gas main construction be referred to the Public Services Administrator for a report back to Council. Carried. Motion No.7 Moved by Crawford, seconded by Caldwell It is recommended that the correspondence from Paragon Engineering Ltd. concerning a Road Management Study be received and filed. Carried. Motion No.8 Moved by Johnson, seconded by Burton It is recommended that the correspondence from D.J. Fitzgerald be received and further the Administrator/Clerk be directed to correspond with Mr. Fitzgerald indicating the following: (a) that no exact cost for the hook-up to this water system can be given at this time until the Township Engineer has had an opportunity to review the additional costs related to upgrading this system: (b) that the Municipality has made no committment to allowing any further hook-ups to the Cedarbrook water system until a report has been received from their Engineer: (c) that the third paragraph in the Administrator/Clerk's letter dated March 9, 1989 is correct when it indicated that the Municipality would be looking for Mr. Fitzgerald to pay a proportionate share of any legal, engineering or connection fees associated with connecting into this particular water system. Carried. Motion No.9 Moved by Crawford, seconded by Caldwell It is recommended that the confidential correspondence from Winfall Properties Inc. be received. Carried. Motion No. 10 Moved by Caldwell, seconded by Crawford It is recommended that the correspondence from Monica Interior Design Limited concerning an application for building permits to construct 11 model homes in the third phase of the Sugarbush Subdivision be granted: even though the Certificate of Substantial Completion has not been received and further that all other conditions of the Subdivision Agreement must be complied with prior to the issuance of the permits for the 11 model homes. Carried. - 4 - Motion No. 11 Moved by Burton, seocnded by Johnson It is recommended that the Administrator/Clerk be allowed to take out a membership in the Ontario Industrial Development Council. Carried. Motion No. 12 Moved by Crawford, seconded by Caldwell It is recommended that the survey of other Township lot levy and Committee of Adjustment fees be received. Carried. Motion No. 13 Moved by Caldwell, seconded by Crawford It is recommended that the confidential report from Beverly Nicolson, Township Planner and Ron Watkin, Township Planning Consultant concerning the status of the Ukranian National Federation lands be received: and further that the Administrator/Clerk be directed to contact the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and request the Ministry to withhold approval of Official Plan Amendment No. 33 until the Municipality receives further information from the Developer. Carried. Motion No. 14 Moved by Burton, seconded by Johnson It is recommended that the correspondence from Bruce Owen, M.P.P. concerning various mobile home parks be received and filed. Carried. Motion No. 15 Moved by Caldwell, seconded by Crawford It is recommended that the report from Beverly Nicolson, Township Planner, concerning Lot 26, Concession 5 (Toffan) request to store waste oil be received and adopted. Carried. Motion No. 16 Moved by Johnson, seconded by Burton It is recommended that the report from Township Planner Beverly Nicolson re: compliance letters, subdivision letters and zoning information be received and adopted. Carried. Motion No. 17 Moved by Crawford, seconded by Caldwell It is recommended that the correspondence from Earl Robertson concerning his willingness to serve on the Oro History Committee be received. Carried. Motion No. 18 Moved by Burton, seconded by Johnson It is recommended that the correspondence from Ruth Langman indicating she is not prepared to serve on the Oro History Committee be received with regret. Motion No. 23 Moved by Burton, seconded by Johnson It is recommended that the Agreement of Purchase and Sale between Mr. James Zerney and the Corporation of the Township of Oro with regards to property described as Part of Lot 16, Concession 14 (Sites 15 and 16) be accepted, subject to the following statement" the purchase price is based upon the rate of $20,000.00" being initialled by the Purchaser. Carried. Motion No. 24 Moved by Burton, seconded by Johnson It is recommended that the lot levies for the Township of Oro be set at the following rates: (a) a fee of $3,000.00 for each new lot created by plan of subdivision: (b) Lot Levies for multi-family uses shall be as follows: ( 1 ) ( 2 ) ( 3 ) (d) one bedroom apartment or less - $1125.00 two bedroom apartement or more - $2100.00 townhouse - $2775.00 single family dwelling, semi-detached -$3000.00/unit (c) and further the lot levy of $3,000.00 have an additional $500.00 added to it in lieu of park land dedication for each new lot created by severance. Shain, Township Solicitor, with regards to National Marketing Limited road allowance between Concessions 4 and 5 be received and further the Administrator/Clerk direct the Solicitor to contact National Marketing Limited for the purpose of negotiating an exchange of land as outlined in his correspondence dated March 20, 1989.
