Mr. Ian S. Malcolm, Architect, addressed
the Committee concerning various
unauthorized progress payments as well
as the architect fees for the Oro Arena
Community Centre renovation project.
NOTE: Mr. Gord Campbell and Mr. Jack
Campbell advised the Administrator/Clerk
on Hay'- 29, 1989 that they would be
unable to attend this meeting and
requested a rescheduling for June 5, 1989.
Mr. Scott Elliott representing the
Sarjeant Company Ltd. along with Public
Services Administrator Fred Haughton
spoke to the Committee with regards
to the operation of a gravel pit and
the proposed development application
for the West Part Lot 8, Concession 8,
as well as the upgrading of the 7th Line.

Secondary Plan be received and further the Administrator/Clerk

Tire concerning the Agreement of Purchase and Sale for
Part Lot 16, Concession 14 (Site 12) be received and
filed and further that the Municipality consider the
offer null and void.

It is recommended that the correspondence from the
Township of Rama with regards to an invitation to the
official opening of the Rama Township Fire Hall be
received and further the Administrator/Clerk is to
advise the Township of Rama that the following person
will attend: Councillor Burton.

It is recommended that the confidential correspondence
from Jim Shellswell, Chief Building Official dated
May 15, 1989 be received and referred to the Township
Solicitor for a reply. Carried.

It is recommended that the correspondence from the Barrie
Automotive Flea Market Association concerning the request
to receive a copy of a letter addressed to the Corporation
of the Township of Oro from the Oro Station Ratepayers
dated April 18, 1989 be received and further the Administrator!
Clerk is to advise B.A.F.M.A. that providing the Oro
Station RatepayeTs Association gives permission to
B.A.F.M.A. to release a copy and further they may review
the correspondence at, the municipal offices providing
a prior appointment is made with the Chief
Administrative Officer.

It is recommended that the correspondence from Linda
Porter representing Weldo-Bedles and her request to
use the Old Town Hall on Friday, June 2, 1989 be
received and further the Municipality has no objection
to this group receiving a liquor permit for the dance.

It is recommended that the following tenders be accepted
as recommended by Fred Haughton, Public Services Administrator:
(1) Contract 89-01 Dust Control from Pollard Bros. (Calcium)
Ltd. in the amount of $75,021.00;
(2) Contract 89-03 16 mm crushed gravel from R.E. Young
Construction Ltd. in the amount of $124,300.00;
(3) Contract 89-06 culvert pipe from Armtec Inc. in the
amount of $18,930.34:
(4) Contract 89-10 grass cutting roadside from Outdoor
Management in the amount of $3,633.00 for 1989;
$4,030.00 for 1990 and $4,400.00 for 1991;
(5) Contract 89-10A grass cutting parks from G & H Enterprises
Ltd. for $695.00 per cut inclusive. Carried.

It is recommended that Contract 89-4 Surface Treating
be resubmitted by Seeley & Arnill Aggregates as the
original tender quantity was incorrect and therefore
the resubmitted tender shall reflect the larger quantity
required. Carried.

It is recommended that the correspondence from Scott Elliott
of the Sarjeant Company Ltd. concerning Development
Application P8/89 wpt Lot 8, Concession 8, be received
and further the required Public Meeting be held at the earliest
possible date. Carried.

It is recommended that the correspondence from the
Ministry of Municipal Affairs concerning Official Plan
Amendment No. 33 be received and further the Administrator/
Clerk is directed to advise the Ministry of Municipal
Affairs as follows: the Municipality wishes to hold this
Official Plan Amendment in abeyance until the terms of
the original subdivision agreement are met.

No. 34 be received and further the Administrator/Clerk is
directed to advise the proponent of Offical Plan Amendment
No. 34 of the content of this letter and further a copy
of his correspondence to the proponent should be sent to
the Ministry of Municipal Affairs. Carried.
