Mr. Todd Stocks, Township Planning Student and Ms. Beverly Nicolson, Township Planner, were present to discuss the Planning Student's report concerning a municipal addressing system for the Township of Oro Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Truax, Mr. Fred Haughton, Public Services Administrator and Mr. Michael Shain, Township Solicitor, were present to discuss a proposed agreement between Mr. Truax and the Corporation concerning the maintenance of certain Township roads.and the hauling of gravel from Lots 6 and 7, Concession 10. Shain, concerning the closing fo roads on Plan 798 be received and further his recommendations concerning Resolution No. 23 of the May 15, 1989 Council Meeting be adopted and the Administrator/Clerk is hereby directed to bring forward a new resolution as well as repealing Resolution No. 23. Motion No. 15 Moved by Burton, seconded by Crawford It is recommended that the quotation from Wallwin Electric Ltd. with regards to the installation of lights in the parking lot of the Administration Centre for a total amount of $5,677.00 plus applicable taxes be approved and the Administrator/Clerk is hereby directed to have the said work carried out. Motion No. 17 Moved by Johnson, seconded by Caldwell It is recommended that the memo from Treasurer Henry Sander concerning the attendance of the Assistant Treasurer and Treasurer at the Municipal Finance Conference to be held in London from September 27 through 29, 1989 be received and further permission is hereby granted for the above two employees to attend. Motion No. 18 Moved by Burton, seconded by Crawford It is recommended that the Corporation of the Township of Oro has no objection to the tonnage increase requested by Mr. Maurice Truax to increase his present tonnage from 30,000 tonnes per annum to 100,000 tonnes per annum, a gravel pit being operation on Part of Lots 6 and 7, Concession 10. Ltd. and the Municipality's comments on a zoning for a proposed pit and quarry property be referred to the Township Planner and the Public Services Administrator for comments. Carried. Harris and advise im he is not to do any work or add any facilities to ownship property without the express written approval of the ~orporation of the Township of Oro and further if he does ~not heed this warding, the By-law Enforcement Officer is to contact the Municipal Solicitor with regards to the possibility f laying charges against this individual. Motion No. 26 Moved by Caldwell, seconded by Johnson It is recommended that Council hereby directs the Administrator/ Clerk not to mail out notices to the persons who were in attendance at the Public Meeting on Monday, June 5, 1989 concerning the proposed Official Plan Amendment No. 39 (Buffalo Springs) as the date, time and location were announced at the said meeting and further by notifying individual persons who were in attendance by mail, it would be setting a precedent for all future public meetings. Motion No. 28 Moved by Burton, seconded by Crawford It is recommended that the memo from Beverly Nicolson, Township Planner, concerning her attendance at the Canadian Institute of Planners Conference to be held in st. John's New Brunswick be received and further she be advised that it has generally been the policy of the Municipality not to allow municipal officials to attend conferences outside the Province and therefore her request will not be granted. Motion No. 29 It is recommended that the correspondence from Ed and Edith pallister concerning Mr. Boehm's dog run and two german shepherds be referred to the Animal Control/By-law Enforcement Officer for a report back to Council. Robinson and Associates concerning North Oro Industrial Park and the prices to clear and grub 3~ acres at a cost of $10,000/acre or a total cost of $35,000.00 be received and further the Township Engineer be instructed by the Administrator/Clerk to have the contractor proceed with the work as soon as possible.
