Councillor Allan Johnson
Also present were:

Mr. William Stewart, Mr. Rex Meadley, Mr. Dennis Tuck, Mr.
Brian Shelswell, Ms. Joan Clark, Mr. Chuck Lowe and One Member

Reeve Robert E. Drury chaired the meeting.
Reeve Robert E. Drury opened the meeting by explaining to those
present that this Public Meeting has been called pursuant to
Section 34 (12) of the Planning Act, to obtain public comments
with respect to the proposed application. The applicant has
applied to rezone lands described as Part of the West Half of
Lot 17, Concession 4, in the Township of Oro.
To date, the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro
have not made a decision on this application, other than
proceeding to a Public Meeting. Only after comments are
received from the Public, Township Staff and requested
Agencies, within the appropriate time period, will Council make
a decision on this application.
Notice of the Public Meeting was mailed out on July 27, 1989,
to all property owners within 400 feet of the subject lands and
to certain agencies as required under the provisions of the
Township Official Plan and the Ontario Planning Act.
The Reeve then asked the Clerk if there had been any
correspondence received on this matter. The Clerk responded by
indicating that correspondence had been received from:
(a)
(b)
Trans Canada Pipelines:
Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority:
Both indicating they were in favour of the proposed

The Clerk proceeded on the request of Council to read the
correspondence.

This Public Meeting is being held with
respect to a rezoning on a property
described as Part of Lot 17, Concession
4. The lands are owned by June and
Garry Sanderson.
The purpose of the proposed zoning
amendment is to change the lands from
the current Agricultural Zone to a Rural
Residential Zone.
The effect of this amendment would be to
change the use on the property from
Agricultural to primarily a Residential
Use.
The reason for this application is that
the applicants have made an application
to the Committee of Adjustment and one
of the conditions that the Committee put
on the Consent was that a rezoning be
undertaken so that the zoning reflected
the proposed use which is residential.
The Reeve after inquiring and ascertaining that there were no
questions from those present, thanked those in attendance for
their participation and advised Council would consider all
matters before reaching a decision. He also advised those
present that if they wished to be notified on the passing of the
proposed By-Law, they should leave their name and address with
the Clerk.
MOTION NO.1
Moved by Caldwell, seconded by Crawford
Be it resolved that the Special Public Meeting
(Sanderson) be adjourned @ 7:05 a.m.
Carried.
