Minutes of a Regular Meeting of Council of the Township of Medonte held on April
23/92 at 7:00 P.M. in Council Chambers, Moonstone.

Councillor Bell declared a conflict of interest on this matter and removed
himself from Council Chambers.

11/92 Council Meeting in order to distribute a proposed agreement to interested
ratepayers.
1 ) Council met~h Mr .~.~alJ and reviewed the Roads Tenders which were opened
at a Roads Carmittee Meeting on April 24/92 at 1: 00 p.m. Mr. Ball requested
more time to review the tenders for Snow Plow Equipment, Sand, Surface
Treatment and a portion of the gravel.

plow truck at a price of $64,907.36, Trade In included".

supply and application of liquid calcium chloride at a unit cost of 177.95
per flake equivalent ton".
Rgsolution 92-116 was ~~ as follows:
" That Council accepts the quotation of Holt Culvert and Metal Products in the
total of 6415.71 for the supply of culverts".

" That Council accepts the tender of M.R. Truax Aggregates Ltd. for the
supply and application of 4000 tons of 5/8" gravel at the unit price of
$4.00 per ton".

" That Council accepts the tender of Collingwood Sand and Gravel for crushing
and stockpiling gravel in Township pits at an estimated cost of $16,850".
Council then reviewed the Spring_ Roads Tour recently held. Council directed the
Reeve meet with Mr. Sorenson in Warminster to request he not park his equipment at
the end of a Township Road. Council directed the Clerk prepare a By-law for
passing for the installation of speed sign within the Township built up areas.
Council directed the Roads Superintendent make repairs to the 9th Concession
Hardtop. Council decided not to hardtop the first concession but directed the
Roads Superintendent put down extra calcium. Council directed the Clerk write
Robin Crest to have them carplete their Subdivision.
Resolqtion 92-119 was passed as follows:
" That G. Ball be authorized to attend Roads School".
Resolqtion 92-120 wa~-p..assed as follows:
" That the Fire Chief be directed to use the 1987 Dodge !:2 Ton as his vehicle and
dispose of the 1984 G.M. !:2 Ton by selling it as is".

1 ) MI"s. V~gmil tOJ}~t.~_to Council about the timing of the Development Charges
By-law regarding a lot being severed. Councillor Martin declared a conflict of
interest on this matter and left the meeting. Reeve Beard noted that the By-
law had been under discussion since September of 1991 and was passed as soon as
Council could. He explained that no matter when it was passed, some people
would have been caught in the process.

" That Council of the Township of Medonte endorses a resolution of the
Township of Rama which opposes the expenditure of funds by the Province of
Ontario required to install bilingual traffic signs across the Province".

" That Council approves of payment of $516.39 to A.E. Jenson Insurance
Adjusting Ltd. for adjusting services".

" That Council of the Township of Medonte endorses a resolution of the
Township of Bonfield regarding the costs of Municipalities operating the
carpensation program under the Dog Licencing and Livestock and Poultry
Protection Act".

" That Council endorses the Request of the Hillsdale and District Lions Club
for their application for a Special Occasion Permit for their COTIIDunity
Family Barbeque to be held at the Hillsdale Corrmunity Park on July 18, 1992
between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m.".

" That Council approves of proceeding to a Public Meeting for a rezoning to
allow a second house on the property, pt Lot 14 Con 6, Mr. R. Roberts".

six large lots. Council directed the clerk advise Mr. Pichler this would be in
contravention to the Township Official Plan.

" That Council accepts the resignations of Mr. Robert Woods and Mr. George
DeMunnik from the Warminster Water Carmittee with regret and that Council
appoints Mr. Barry Laver and Mr. John Kilby to the Warminster Water

" That Council adopts the Minutes of a meeting of the Planning Advisory
Carmittee and the recorrmendations therein of their meeting held on April 20,
1992".
