THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MEDONTE
Minutes of a Special Meeting of Council held on April 29/92 at 1: 30 p.m. in
Council Chambers, Moonstone.
Present Reeve - 1. Beard
Deputy Reeve - N. Dalziel
Councillors - D. Bell
- M. Martin
- W. Dickie
The meeting was called to work on the 1992 Budget.
Council reviewed the minutes of a meeting on April 9/92 and decided as follows:
1 ) Double the fees charged to the water systems for Administration Costs
(3,645.00).
2) Bring in the following amounts from Township Reserve Funds -
(a) Roads Capital - $20,000
(b) Fire Capital - $20,000
(c) Administration Capital - $20,000
3) Council approved of the Clerk proceeding with the order of 720 Carposters to
be sold to Ratepayers at $15.10 per.
4) Council approved of adding 30,000 per year for three years to the Fire
Department Capital Budget for the purchase of a used truck.
5) Council approved of a 3% increase in wages for the Chief and Deputy Chief
to be effective July 1/92.
6) Council approved of the charges for Waste Management tippage fees being
shown as a Special Area Rate on the Tax Bill.
7) Council voted not to institute a policy requiring all employees to take off
one week without pay.
8) Council directed the Clerk contact Bay Animal Control to advise that they
would limit payment for 1992 to $27,000.00.
9) Council met with G. Ball, Township Roads Superintendent and discussed
tenders.
Resolution 92-129 was passed as follows:
" That Council accepts the tender of M.R. Truax Aggregates Ltd. for the
delivery and mixing of 5500 cu. yards of sand at the unit price of $4.00
per cubic yard".
Resolution 92-130 was passed as follows:
" That Council accepts the Tender of Collingwood Sand, Gravel &
Construction in the amount of $2.45 per ton to crush and spread gravel".
Resolution 92-131 was passed as follows:
" That Council accepts the quotation of Frink Canada for the supply of snow
plow equipment at a price of $32,135.00".
No final decision was made on surface treatment.
10) Council directed the Treasurer prepare a Levy By-law.
