The Clerk advised that the meeting was called to consider the rezoning of lands
Part of Lot 22, Con 8 from Rural (RU) to Rural Residential (R3) and to Rural
Exception (RU-25) to allow for the creation of one new lot by severance and its
use for one detached dwelling. He advised that notification was given in
accordance with the regulations of the Planning Act by publishing in the
Coldwater Canadian on June 18, 1 992 as well as mailing out to 12 property owners
in the area as well as the required Provincial Ministries and Agencies. He
advised that no written response had been received to date.
Mr. McNair presented the proposed By-law. He noted that there are presently
lands zoned Environmental on both parcels of land but that this zoning was not
being changed. He advised that the Rural Exception zone on the lands being
retained dealt with the fact the lands no longer had the required 40 Hectares.
Councillor Dickie questioned the size of the lot. Ms. Mairs explained the lot
boundaries were met to coinside with existing the physical layout of the land,
using a ridge and tree line.
Councillor Dickie asked about the Mobile Home on the property. Ms. Mairs
explained it had been used while a house was constructed on the property and the
trailer would be located on the lot being created and zoned Rural Residential
(R3). Councillor Dickie noted the trailer was set up to be used residentially
which would be in contravention to the Zoning By-law. He asked Ms. Mairs if she
would agree to remove the trailer from the property before the rezoning
proceeded. Ms. Mairs stated the trailer could be removed but that it would be in
the fall of the year.
Reeve Beard requested Ms. Mairs submit in writing, a letter stating the trailer
would be removed. He advised that Council would probably defer the By-law until
after the trailer was removed.
As there were no other questions Reeve Beard declared the meeting closed at
11:25 a.m.
