Minutes of a Special Meeting of Council held under Section 34 of the Planning Act on October 21, 1992
at 1:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, Moonstone.

Deputy Reeve Dalziel declared the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m.
The Clerk advised the meeting was called to consider the rezoning of lands, PT Lot 56 Con 1, PT Lot
1 W.P.R., Plan 203, Village ofHillsdale from General Commercial (C1) to General Commercial Exception
(C1-) to permit an expansion of an existing motor vehicle body shop and used car dealership. The By-
law will also provide for reduced requirements from various regulations in the General Commercial (C1)
Zone. He advised that notice was given in accordance with the regulations by publishing in the Elmvale
Lance on September 29, 1992 as well as mailing out to 41 property owners in the area and to the
required Provincial Ministries and agencies.
Mr. McNair presented a Planning Report outlining all the present deficiencies from By-law 1990-22.
He explained that the lot is only half of the size of what is required and that the existing buildings
are built too close to the lot lines.
Mr. Morrison questioned as to whether junk and scrap cars would be allowed on the lot. Council
advised the zoning would not permit a scrapyard and only cars which could be licensed would be
allowed.
Deputy Reeve Dalziel asked how access to the site would be controlled. Mr. McNair noted that the
property was subject to the Site Plan Control and Council could control all such matters.
Councillor Martin asked if the members of the Public would be satisfied if the operation was properly
controlled. All present agreed.
Deputy Reeve Dalziel asked for written comments by October 30, 1992 and declared the meeting closed
at 2:05 p.m.
