Bell ADOPTION OF MINUTES Resolution 93-40 was passed as follows: " That the minutes of a Regular Meeting of Council of the Township of Medonte held on February 8, 1993 and the minutes of a Special Meeting of Council held on February 10, 1993 be adopted as printed and circulated". BUSINESS ARISING FROM MINUTES (1) Resolution 93-41 was passed as follows: " That the Reeve and Clerk are authorized to execute a Fire Agreement with the Village of Coldwater". PASSING OF BY-LAWS (1) Resolution 93-42 was passed as follows: " That a By-Law to appoint a Treasurer and Deputy Clerk be considered read a fIrst and second time, read a third time and passed this 22nd day of February, 1993 and numbered By-Law 1993-07". e (2) Resolution 93-43 was passed as follows: " That a By-Law to regulate the construction of driveway entrances be considered read a fIrst and second time, read a third time and passed this 22nd day of February, 1993 and numbered By-Law 1993-08". NEW BUSINESS e (1) Council opened the tenders received for their advertisement for used equipment. (a) Snow Plough Equipment (1) O. Hutchinson - $ 550.00 (2) Dean Newman - $1,000.00 (b) Box & Hoist (1) Doug Shellswell - $1,000.00 (2) A D. Bidmead - $1,351.00 (c) All Equipment (1) D. Shellswell - $1,650.00 February 22, 1993 THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MEDONTE Page 2 e Resolution 93-44 was passed as follows: " That the tender of A D. Bidmead in the amount of $1,351.00 for the purchase of the Box & Hoist be accepted". e Resolution 93-45 was passed as follows: " That Council accepts the tender of Dean Newman in the amount of $1,000.00 for the purchase of Snow Plough Equipment". (2) Resolution 93-46 was passed as follows: " That Gary Cunnington, Jeff Brydges and Council be authorized to attend a meeting in Orillia on March 3, 1993 regarding disentanglement". (3) Resolution 93-47 was passed as follows; " That Council approves of the Ontario Geological Survey drilling on Township Road Allowance, Pt Lot 13 Con 9, on West Side of Highway 400 under the Terms and conditions as laid out in their letter of February 15, 1993". LOCAL BOARDS & COMMI'I'TEES (1) Resolution 93-48 was passed as follows: " That Jeff Brydges be authorized to attend the 1993 Tax Collectors Seminar and Workshop, May 6 & 7, 1993 in Mississauga". (2) Resolution 93-49 was passed as follows: " That Gary Cunnington be authorized to attend the Association of Municipal Clerks and Treasurers Convention to be held June 20 to 23, in London". OTHER BUSINESS (1) Resolution 93-50 was defeated as follows: That William Beck be authorized to attend a course sponsored by the Association of Registered Wood Energy Technicians of Ontario to be held May 3 to 6 in Barrie". e (2) Resolution 93-51 was passed as follows: " That Council approves of a Sick Leave Plan payout of 40 days as a retirement allowance to Beatrice Woodrow". e (3) Deputy Reeve Dalziel reported to Council on his negotiations with the County on settling the value of the Waste Site Machine and Building". February 22, 1993 Page 3 THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MEDONTE e Moved by Martin Seconded by Dalziel That Council go into Committee of the Whole to meet with Mr. K Ball at 8:35 p.m. e Moved by Martin Seconded by Dalziel That Council come out of Committee of the Whole at 9:00 p.m. Resolution 93-52 was passed as follows: I! That Council . of the Township endorses the recommendation of Chief J. Eakley regarding the dismissal of Fire Fighter Keith BallI!. Council discussed the proposed Performance Contract for the Administrator for Oro/Medonte. They decided to meet on February 24, 1993 at 9:30 a.m. to review the matter. Various other reports and pieces of correspondence were presented., discussed and f1led as informational.
