Minutes of a Regular Meeting of Council of the Township of Medonte held on March 8, 1993
at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, Moonstone.

Reeve Beard called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. The minutes of previous meetings were
not adopted as they were not circulated.
BUSINESS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES
(1) Deputy Reeve Dalziel reported on a meeting held with Mr. & Mrs. Wright from
Horseshoe Valley on the assumption of tile beds. He advised that they were proceeding
to have Mr. Lohuaru do the necessary work in order to at least assume the beds for
Cathedral Pines.
(2) Council reviewed a list of deficiencies and needed repairs for the proper operation of
the Robin Crest Pump House.
Resolution 93-54 was passed as follows:
" That the required repairs be made to the Robin Crest Pump House to be paid
for by the developer".
(3) Council decided to hold a Special Meeting on March 16 at 1:00 p.m. to review and
discuss the comments received on the proposed Official Plan Amendment.

PASSING OF BY-LAWS
(1)
Council reviewed a proposed Fire Agreement with the Village of Coldwater. Councillor
Martin expressed his strong objection to entering into the agreement that did not
charge a full standby fee.
Resolution 93-55 was passed with a recorded vote as follows:
" That a By-Law to enter into a fire protection agreement with the Village of
Coldwater be considered read a fIrst and second time, read a third time and
passed this 8th day of March, 1993 and numbered By-Law 1993-09".

That a By-Law to amend By-Law 1990-22 be considered read a fIrst and second
time, read a third time and passed this 8th day of March, 1993 and numbered
By-Law 1993-10".

(3) Resolution 93-59 was passed as follows:
" That Council approves of granting a three year extension to By-Law 1990-31,
By-Law 1990-31 being a temporary use By-Law to allow for granny flat unit
on the lands of Allan and Linda Baker".

Resolution 93-60 was passed as follows:
" That Council of the Township of Medonte petitions the Ministry of
Transportation for a supplementary allocation in the amount of $705,000.00 for
the construction of bridges and purchase of equipment".
(5) Resolution 93-61 was passed as follows:
" That Council petitions the Ministry of Transportation for subsidy on their 1993
Program of Expenditures in the amount of $968,000.00".
(6) Resolution 93-62 was passed as follows:
" That Council approves in a reduction of the letter of Credit of J. H.
Investments Inc., and that the amount shall be determined by the Township
of Engineer".
LOCAL BOARDS
(1) Resolution 93-63 was passed as follows:
" That the minutes of the Protection to Persons and Property Committee held
on February 22, 1993 be adopted".
(2) Resolution 93-64 was passed as follows:
" That the minutes of a Joint Meeting of the Oro Medonte Council held on
February 24, 1993 be adopted".

PASSING OF ACCOUNTS

Resolution 93-65 was passed as follows:
" That General Voucher #2 in the amount of $87,349.48 be authorized for
payment".

" That Roads Voucher #2 in the amount of $77,709.93 be authorized for
payment".
