Minutes of a Regular Meeting of Council of the Township of Medonte held on April 9,
1990 at 7: 00 P.M. in Council Chambers, Moonstone.

ADOPTION OF MINUTES

" That the minutes of a Regular Meeting of Council held on March 26, and the minutes
of Special Meetings of Council held on March 22 & March 30 be adopted as printed
and circulated".

DELEGATION?
1) M;(....w E. Cowden. of the Midlan~l Branch of the St. John Ambulance presented Council
with an outline of the programs offered by their organization. He also presented
Council a copy of their 1990 proposed Budget and requested Council consider a grant
for the year 1990 based on 25<: per capita. Council deferred decision until Budget
consideration.
2) ~V'lQlf.E2ng~.n a~<2.~cheq Council on behalf of the Hillsdale Park Board. He
questioned Council as to whether they would provide temporary financing to allow
them to proceed with the installation of new Bleachers while they did their fund
raising. Council agreed to this request. Council also agreed to have a recreation
meeting on May 3, 1990 at 7:30 P.M. to meet with all Hall Committee's to discuss
their 1990 financial needs.
3) Mr.~R~d_~.s.~QJ~ the fiDn of Jorden & Jones approached Council and presented a
proposal for a 29 one acre lot plan of subdivision on a parcel of land, pt Lot 5,
Con 14. They advised Council that the lands are presently designated Residential
in the Township Official Plan. Council agreed to the proposal being su1:mitted for
draft plan approval and requested the developer forward all their reports to the
Township Engineers and Planning Consultants.

" That a By-Law for the restriction of weight of vehicles passing over a bridge be
considered read a first and second time, read a third time and passed this 9th day
of April and numbered By-Law 1990-11".

" That Council approves of Mr. Ross Woods, PT Lot 24 Con 3, proceeding with an
Official Plan Amendment and Zoning change to allow a Commercial use on his
property" .
2) Coung.i-l.rec.E.?iY.E.?d~~...tQJj:: fran Reid & Associates on the operation of the Robin
Crest pu:rrphouse. Council directed the Clerk follow up to see which of the repairs
have been done.
3) Coun~il re~<l1:t requ~~:t: frcm Mr. A. Hamstra for a rezoning to allow him a second
house on his property. Mr. Hamstra, who was in attendance, advised that he requires
a caretaker unit on the property as his job will keep him away fran the property
during the summer months. Council deferred decision until the matter was discussed
with their planning consultants.

" That Council endorses a resolution of the Township of Rochester with regard to
Health Services".

towards the FlosjElmvale Arena to budget time.
6) CounC.iLfE.?<2.E.?!Y.E.?g~w<l.wf5?qu5?st fran Mr. & Mrs. Morris, pt Lot 20, Con 13, to allow him
to replace an existing second hane on his property. As this property is located
directly to the north of the Waste Disposal Site, Council directed the Clerk contact
their Planning Consultants and the County of Simcoe and the Ministry of the Environment
for their comments.
7) COuncil_.9.5?ferreQ._<:i..LS2.Q1!eE'1t for a grant in the amount of $250.00 from the Wye Marsh
Wildlife Centre to budget deliberations.

" That Council approves of a grant in the amount of $25.00 for the year 1990 to
the Coldwater Music Festival".
9) C011!:1:<2!h..fE.?.Y!E.?.\t{ed a....I~j: fran Lehman & Associates on behalf of Mr. Brown, PT Lot
IS, Con 9, to create two Commercial lots. Council deferred decision and requested
the Clerk contact the consultant for more information regarding servicing and the
use of the remaining property.
10) QQ!:l!lgiJ..f:eC::E.?~.1!.~st fran Mr. G. McDennott to present a formal request for
a developnent on his property, pt Lots 7 & 8 Con 14. Council agreed to this request.
II) CounQ;bLf:~c~j..\(~d ~rer of resignation fran the Committee of Adjustment fran
Mr. John Rynard which was accepted with regret.
12) CoU!:!~l app:roVE.?9.~evised plan of subdivision for Mr. D. Bachley, pt Lot 15,
Con 8, which increased the area of 4 lots and decreased the frontage of a private
open space area.
