Minutes of a Regular Meeting of Council of the Township of Medonte held on July 9,
1990 at 7:00 P.M. in Council Chambers, Moonstone.

Resolution 90-155 was passed as follows:

of Special Meetings of Council held on June 13, June 18, June 19 and July 3 be
adopted as printed and circulated".

C01!Jlcil-1I1~~h Mr. ~~ BalJ, Township Roads Superintendent. He advised Council that
the Water Works Committee's were doing work within the road allowance without
obtaining his pennission. Council directed the Clerk advise the water departments
that they must have the Township approval to work along the Road Allowance. They also
directed that the Water Committee's should set their connection fees in order to
allow forborring Council also directed the
Clerk investigate a By-law for recouping funds fran owners who damage the hardtop
roads while building new hanes.

applications submitted earlier this spring and interviewed several applicants.

" That Council approves of hiring Mr. Dave Melanson for the position of Truck
Driver-Labourer, on a probationary period of 3 months at the rate of $12.00 per
hour" .

Superintendents Association.

" That Council approves of payment of a fee in the amount $150.00 for certification
under a program of the Ontario Road Superintendents Association".

Mr. Ball presented a request for a 4-way stop at the intersection of the 10th Con
aria~Ster Side Road. Council deferred decision to allow them to look at
the intersection.

There was discussion regarding access to buildings and ramps out onto road allowance.
Council decided to take no action until it was determined exactly where the buildings
sit.

appeal to the Ontario Municipal Board. They advised Council that the Ontario
Municipal Board, at the request of the Township Solicitor, had refused to hear
their appeal and had disrruiJssed the hearing. He advised Council that they had
received correspondence relating to the hearing fran the Township Solicitor days
after the hearing was held. They advised Council that they had paid for a hearing
and had not been treated fairly. They requested a refund of their fees. Council
advised them that they should get legal advice as to an action against the
Ontario Municipal Board. Council advised Mr. & Mrs. Kirkpatrick they would
discuss the matter further.

2) Mr. & Mrs. B. Gordon and their consultant fran Timberco Ltd. Parks Design
presented~~a proposal for an Adult Recreational Resort for their property
pt Lot 61, Con 2. The proposal would create a park to allow seniors to own a
Park Model R. V. and leave a lot to park it on for seasonal use. The facility
would provide recreational opportunities, as well as water, sewer and hydro.
All services would be private and would be owned and maintained by the owners
of the land. The Gordons offered to take Council to Wasaga Beach to see a similar
project. Council deferred decision to allow them to study the proposal further.
3) ~:r~~~99.Je approached Council regarding the messy lots in Hillsdale.
Council advised that the Province had been contacted with regard to parking
along Highway 93 and the Township Solicitor was preparing charges under various
By-laws.

1) Resolution 90-158 was passed as follows:

Crossing and Medonte 7th Concession".

his proposed Official Plan Amendment. Council declined to set a Public Meeting
date until receiving a report fran their Engineer.

" That Council approves of Mr. H. Grenier, pt Lot II, Con 3, proceeding with a
rezoning of his property to allow for a small motor repair business".
4) fran Mr. Larsen regarding the upgrading of the
Wanninster Water System. Council directed the Clerk respond that developers will
pay to upgrade the system and that the fees will be set out in a developTIent
agreement.
1 ) Resolution 90-1 60 was passed as follows:

1 ) Resolution 90-161 was defeated as follows:
" That Council approves of amending their Interim Control By-law to allow Mr. &
Mrs. G. Mainprize, pt Lot 1 Con 13, to apply to the Committee of Adjustment
for a severance of a parcel 2.2. acres".

2) Resolution 90-162 was defeated as follows:
i~ That Council approves of amending their Interim Control By-law to allow Mr. &
Mrs. Lainsbury, pt Lot 11 Con 14, to sever a lot in order to construct a new
home" .

house on his property while he constructs a new house, subject that the old
house is removed fran the property by August 1, 1991 Ii.

Ii That Council authorizes the Township Treasurer attend the Municipal Finance
Conference to be held September 26, 27 & 28 in London, Ontario".
