09 24 1990 Council Minutes THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MEOONTE Minutes of a Regular Meeting of Council of the Township of Medonte held on Monday, September 24, 1990 at 7:30 P.M. in Council Chambers, Moonstone. BUSINESS. e 1 ) ResolutiQlL..2.Q~-::-221 was ~ssec1 as follows: " That Council request Mr. D. Roe sul:mit his Hydrology Report to the Ministry of Environment for review; and that Council is in agreement that any future develoJ?ffient on the lands to the east and northeast will be on Municipal Water System". 2) (::;ounci~ reviewed a r~~ fran Mrs. S. Judge, Hillsdale, to operate a small business from her hane. Council directed the Clerk have Mrs. Judge apply for a minor variance to the Zoning By-Law, 3) C01JQci:j....9-irE2..Q.ted th~ ClerJ5, forward a copy of their 1990 Waste Budget to the County of Simcoe. 4) COQ:pciuevi~weg.w!;:hE:2..QQ!:1Dty of Simcoe policy with regard to acceptance of contaminated soils within County Waste Site. Council were not in agreement with the policy of accepting materials that were not ordered in under a section 84 order from the Ministry of the Environment and directed the Clerk notify the County. 5) COUQ.~!J:.~eviewed the Regulatio..!:lli under Bill 201 regarding Waste Management and requested the Clerk contact the County to request a meeting to begin negotiations. e 1 ) M!:.L'pwgyi(:'L~Sw<liJ~s"..ill?2!"~ch~ Council to request compensation for damage he alleged happended to his car as a result of travelling on a Township road just after a dust treatment was applied. Council denied any liability and refused to consider his claim. e 2) Mr,_W...Mul'de:Q...9-P]2roached Council to question what was being done as a result of his letter of objection to Official Plan Amendment #12. Council advised Mr. Murden of the actions being taken and directed the Clerk respond in writing. They also advised Mr. Murden they would notify him when the final design and drainage plans were available for the proposed subdivision. 3) Mr~. W. Brown awroached..Council to request they allow him to proceed with a severance of lands which he was proceeding to have designated COITmercial in the Township Official Plan. Council deferred decision until receiving a report fran their Engineers and Planners on the Hydrogeologic Study of the property. Council broke for a 10 minute coffee break.
