Minutes of a Special Meeting of Council of the Township of Medonte held under
Section 34 of the Planning Act on January 29, 1991 at 1:00 P.M. in Council
Chambers, Moonstone.

meeting was called to consider a rezoning of a parcel of land, Pt Lot 11 Con 13,
from Rural and Low Environmental Sensitivity to Rural Estate Exception and Low
Environmental Sensitivity to allow for a 32 Lot Subdivision. He advised that
the requirements of the Planning Act had been camplied with for giving notice of
the meeting by publishing notice in the Orillia Packet & Times on January 7,
1991. In addition, notice was mailed on January 7, 1991 to 36 ratepayers owning
property in the area of the proposed developnent. Also on January 7, 1991
copies of the proposed By-Law were mailed to 10 local Boards and Ministries
asking for their corrment. He advised Council that the only response was an
approval fram the Simcoe County District Health Unit.

since adopting the Official Plan Amendment. He gave an outline of the proposed
plan of subdivision explaining the lot sizes and frontages, park land size and
the setbacks fram the Environmentally Zoned areas. He advised that the stumps
had been rerroved fram the proposed park land. He also advised that the
Hydrology Study had been approved by the Ministry of the Environment. Mr. D.
Brumwell then gave an overview of the proposed servicing of the subdivision. He
noted that all engineering would be approved by the Township Engineer.

Ball Park and Soccer Pitch. He noted it was a concept only and that it would be
up to Council to decide on the ultimate use.
Mr ~~!ig~_~lainE)^d the specifics of the actual Proposed By-Law, explaining the
reduced frontage of same of the lots and the proposed setbacks fram the
Environmental Areas.
Reeve Amos asked the ratepayers in attendance if they had any questions.

protected in the drainage plan. Mr. McNair noted that the Township Zoning By-
Law required a 23 metre setback from any watercourse.

requested in an earlier petition. Council advised they feel it beeter to take a
combination of land and money so that the park could be developed rather then
sit vacant as same existing Parkland.
