the minutes of Special Meeting under Section 34 of the Planning Act held on
January 29, 1991 at 1:00 P.M., 2:00 P.M., 2:30 P.M. and 3:00 P.M. be adopted as
printed and circulated".

1)
Mr. R. Turnbull and Mr. D. Carr approached Council to request a reduction in
the~..~ietier~-of..Credlt o.rRObl.l1 Crest. Mr. Carr presented Council with a
breakdown of the costs for work to be done. He also requested Council carry
out the necessary inspections in order to assume the Subdivision for the
maintenance period. Council advised they would arrange the inspections and
respond to the letter of credit reduction on February 28, 1991.
2 )!<~YE:?_~l!Q_19.E~~. Village of Coldwater and a delegation fram the Coldwater
Corrmunity Centre Board approached Council for a grant towards upgrading at the
Coldwater Corrmunity Centre. He advised the work is required in order to keep
the Building open and that the costs are estimated at arount $30,000. He
advised that each of the Municipalities whose ratepayers use the Corrmunity
Centre would be approached for between $4000 to $6000. Council requested that
Coldwater formalize the costs and make a formal request for funds.

date of January 18/91 for Highway 93 in Hillsdale" .
2) Resolution 91-27 was passed as follows:

Kings Highway known as 93 in the Township of Medonte in the County of Simcoe
beginning at a point situate 150 metres measured northerly fram its
intersection with the centre line of the Roadway known as Robert Boulevard
in the Police Village of Hillsdale and extending northerly there along for a
distance of 390 metres".
3) CO"\ID~E:?vi~" cO~f2nde~ received in conjunction with Zoning Public
Meetings held on January 29/91. They directed the Clerk forward a letter fram
Mr. Dickie regarding the proposed Subdivision pt Lot 11 Con 13 to the developer
for corrment.
Counci~~~g the 13 letters of objection to the Beach Rezoning pt Lot
1 Con 10.
Resolution 91-28 was defeatedby recorded vote:

or moving of buildings within the Township of Medonte be considered read a

February 1991 and numbered By-Law 1991-06".

" That a By-Law to amend By-Laws 82-25 and 1991-25 be considered read a first
and second time, read a third time and passed this 11 th Day of February,
1991 and numbered By-Law 1991-07".

as the application did not comply with provinical Regulations.

reduced Speed Limit along County Road 22 at Craighurst.

" That Council approves of Mr. S. Larsen proceeding with an Official Plan
Amendment for his lands, Pt Lot 1 5 Con 14 to allow for an Estate Residential
Subdivision".

Visitors Association, Ontario Winter Games or Information Orillia for the year
1991 .

" That Council petitions the Ministry of Transportation for a supplementary
allocation in the amount of $20,000 under the Anti Recession Program".

Council broke for 10 minutes for coffee.

discuss the proposal for Amalgamation of the two Municipalities.
Council discussed the proposed boundaries of the proposed new Municipality. I twas
agreed'-to~make a joint presentation before the County Restructuring Committee on
February 15, 1991.

WHEREAS the Township of Medonte and Oro have in the past separately filed
submissions to the County Restructuring Committee;
AND WHEREAS the Townships have recently discussed their respective positions
regarding potential restructuring within the County;
AND WHEREAS the Township of Medonte deems it prudent and appropriate to amend and
revise its previous submissions;

AND WHEREAS the December 1990 sutmission by the Township of Oro, Section 3. 2,
addressed the potential of relocating its northern boundary further to the north
than as outlined in that sutmissioni
AND ~ the Township of Oro deems it appropriate to revise its sul:mission based
upon its recent discussions with the Township of Medontei
BE IT RESOLVED that
1 . The Township of Medonte withdraws its previous sutmissions to the County
Restructuring Committee and endorses the proposed revised sutmission of the
Township of Oro to incorporate lands within the Township of Medontei and
2. The Township of Oro will revise its December, 1990 sut:mission to incorporate
further lands wi thin the Township of Medontei and
3. The Townships will jointly present the revised Medonte/Oro sutmission to the
Restructuring Committee at its meeting of February 15, 1991 i and
4. The Townships of Medonte and Oro agree to amalgamate as outlined in their
revised joint sutmission.
