06 11 1991 Public Minutes THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MEOONTE Minutes of a Special Public Meeting of Council of the Township of Medonte held under Section 34 of the Planning Act on June 11, 1991 at 7:30 P.M. in the Hillsdale Community Hall. PgglltY.BJ~eyg" Vg~..J2a..ll~_ the meeting to order at 7: 30 P.M. and welcamed those in attendance. 1:b.E2~C1E:.':rk tqf311 ~la-iJ:lE:.':g. that the purpose of the meeting was to consider an application for rezoning for the East Half of Lot 7 Concession 3, North of Highway 400. The By-law would have the effect of changing the zoning of the subject lands fram Rural (RU) Zone and Low Environmental Sensitivity (ES2) Zone to the Extractive Industrial (M3) Zone, which if approved, would permit the expansion of the existing gravel extraction operation. He noted the By-law was in accordance with Official Plan Amendment #11 which was adopted by Council on March 12, 1990 and approved by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs on September 24, 1990. Ii~~.ady;ised. that~J1Qtt9~ for the meeting was given in compliance with the regulations of the Planning Act by mailing notice to those within 120 metres as well as those in the affected area and local Boards and Ministries. He read letters of approval fram the Ministry of Natural Resources as well as the Ministry of Transportation. Deputy Reeve Vasey opened the floor for questions. Mr. Symes asked what was proposed for truck access to the area. ~..LQlJ" KiX!2Y.1:g;;;W.nggg that an agreement was in place that all trucks use the Haul Route and that no trucks would use either the 2nd or 3rd Concession Roads. Councillor Dalziel advised that Council would not allow truck traffic on the 3rd Concession. Councillor Dalziel asked what screening would be provided in open areas. ~_Lou...Kirby..-a&zised that trees would be planted. She also explained that Seeley & Arnill would be leaving an area beside the 400 Highway untouched to keep same of the natural screening.
