Minutes of a Regular Meeting of Council of the Township of Medonte held on Tuesday,
October 15, 1991 at 7:00 P.M. in Council Chambers, Moonstone.

AOOPTION OF MINU'IES
Resolution 91-200 wal? passe<1. as follows:
" That the minutes of a regular meeting of Council of the Township of Medonte held
on September 23, 1991 be adopted as printed and circulated".
Coonru_met with Mr. G. Ball, Township Roads Superintendent.
U~L.a.dslised~il that Mr. D. Woodrow had renewed his contract for Winter Control
in Horseshoe Valley at the same price as 1991.
Council decided to wait until after the election to hold the Fall Roads Tour.

would be returning.

" That Council petitions the Ministry of Transportation for Interim Payment of
Subsidy under the Public Transportation and Highway Improvement Act on
expenditures made in the year 1991 in the arrDunt of $1,061,793.12".
1) M:r:.~~~g~:t;~p and My. W. Faris approached Council regarding the cost of survey
in order for Mr. Faris to provide road widening required by Council with regard
to a recent severance granted him.
QQuncil directed the Cler~ investigate what the cost will be for the additional
survey work required and report back to Council.
2) ML.~don. waE:i..in.~ro~":while Council reviewed the minutes of Checklist
#2 meeting regarding his subdivision. Council decided that (a) no cash
deposits would be required as a guarantee against occupancy; (b) the time frame
for beginning of work and ccmpletion of certain items was satisfactory; (c) no
drainage easements would be required throughout the water courses but that
registration of title not to block the water courses would be required; (d) all
subdivision agreements would give notice that Council will require payment if
the new Develorment Charges Act Levy is greater than the present lot levy.
3) M!". Robert~\Li~Qn, Valley View Farms, Pt Lot 14 Con 11, approached Council
regarding his plan to remove the topsoil fram a small portion of his lands in
order to operate a deer farm and have a paddock area.

" That Council of the Township of Medonte approves of granting Valley View
Farms an exEmption to the terms By-law 87-16 as per section 1 O. 1 of that By-
law" .
4) Mr:.~QJ2QD.Q,lq....QpprogQ]1eQ Council to advise that the Lions Club in Hillsdale
were setting up a Neighbourhood Watch Program and requested Council help with
the set up cost.

the cost of an application for approval of placing of Neighbourhood Watch
Signs along highway 93 in Hillsdale".

Sideroad approach Council to request hardtopping of these roads. Reeve Amos
advised that the outgoing Council could do nothing but advised that the request
would be forwarded to the incaning Council for their review.

was referred to the Committee of Adjustment for their consideration.

no grants available for upgrading of the Hillsdale Water System (Playford
Subdivision) .

to tender for garbage collection but extend the present contract for an
"interim" period was presented. Council directed the Clerk and Councillor Hall
meet with the County for further explanation.
Council broke for a 1 0 minute coffee break.

proceeding with a condominium develop:nent. Council directed the Clerk advise
them that Council would be willing to enter into an agreement that outlined the
timeframe for developnent.

2) Coungil~~yi~ed.~g.jQintresponse fram the Township's of OrojMedonte to the
Minister of Municipal Affairs. Council was concerned over same of the wording
and the fact that the response would not be suhnitted on time. Councillor
Dalziel presented Council with a response he had prepared on behalf of Medonte
Council.
