Counc~IJ:~{J~st~a letter of thanks be sent to Mr. A. McLean for his efforts in obtaining the recreation grant for Council. Council approved of advancing $7,000.00 to Mr. G. Brandon towards the cost of the building he is constructing at the waste site. Council decided not to pay the waste site attendant a g<;:t$:allowance this year. Council directed the Treasurer refund deposits to developers who have now sold their land. ~re was. a discussiQ.Q regarding the Ministry of Environment ordering hazardous materials into the waste site. Council directed the Clerk advise the Ministry of their concerns. ...Iher:e WCJ~~a discussion regarding the old roads truck. JQoes approached Council regarding his plans for building pt. lot 68, Con. 1. Mr. Jones advised Council that he would do whatever Council required with regard to upgrading the old buildings in order to comply to the building code. Names are 1) Ken Copeland 2) Morris Herrington and that a rate shall be set for 1988 in January". b) There was a discussion regarding the Trailer on the 4th Concession which was to be removed. Council directed the By-Law Enforcement Officer take the case to the Solicit( S;::.L There WqS a discllsslon regarding the Robin Crest Subdivision. Council directed the Building Inspector take the matter of non-compliance to his stop work order to the Solicitor. Council directed that all orders he issued should be taken to the Solicitor after a one week period of non-compliance. .~.lL.-.ReSQ!lltion '1,7-%9 was passed as follows: " That Council of the Township of Medonte endorses Resolution 87/386 of the Township of Peel". t _2.L--ReSQhjtion~.s.l:3ZiLwas passed as follows: " Be it resolved 1) That this Council approves the form of draft by-law (including the franchise agreernen forming part thereof) attached hereto and authorizes the submission thereof to the Ontario Energy Board for approval pursuant to the provisions of Section 9 of the Municipal Franchises Act. - 2) That this Council requests the Ontario Energy Board to make an order dispensing with the assent of the municipal electors in respect of the attached by-law (including the franchise agreement forming part thereof) pursuant to the provisions of Section 9(4) of the Municipal Franchises Act". ,-Re.sol.u1ior:L.81..=JLL.was passed as follows: " Whereas Council adopted Official Plan Amendment on December 8, 1987 And whereas the amendment has been submitted to the Province for approval Now therefore, Council petitions the Community Planning Advisory branch for payment of Community Planning Grant II 7, Ministry File G.R.A. 38-25-7.
